My sobriety journey is still very fresh, about a month. I downloaded this app along with other similar apps before I decided to become sober but initially I had no interest in checking it out. I was able to shift my focus to other areas of my life at first and rarely had intrusive thoughts about alcohol until a week ago. Attempting to change other habits in my life like shutting the tv off at a specific time each night etc, getting into bed earlier made me restless and uneasy. Thoughts about drinking filled my mind so I decided to open this app up and give it a try. I started with 2 of the 3ish minute guided meditations on there laying in bed and was so relieved that I could feel my nagging thoughts go away for the time being. Since then I play a guided meditation before bed to shift my focus back to what really matters in my life, being present and alive. Looking forward to the longer meditations on this app and AA recordings when I have great mental capacity. Taking this all one day at a time and this app is a great addition to it all!

Pretty cool

There could be a lot more to it, but it’s basically the book etc. it’s great to have to read literature during a meeting or listen to in the car. The joe and Charlie tapes are lower quality recording, but I heard something about an update in the past month. It keeps track of my clean tube, has the daily devotion. Not really anything related to being that I’m aware of, but I have the chair meeting guide app for that.
Summary: it’s a great addition to my recovery. Helpful tool. ❤️

Realize that I am powerless over my qualifiers drinking. I can seek help and work the one step that I can. The ALANON family has been truly a guiding light out of the darkness. The kindness, understanding and encouragement that ALANON has given to me allows me to feel a part of a family. I am happy that I found ALANON and have a vehicle and maps app on my phone to get to meetings early. I am happy that there are meetings where I feel welcomed and loved for who I am.
