Vandy App!
I’ve used the Myhealth App for around 12 years now and I can’t imagine being without it! I’m either using it constantly or using it only once or twice a week. If I’m having an issue like refilling my prescription or something else I feel confident about my providers getting in touch with me right awa, or their staff giving them the information they need to help me very quickly.
I find myself using Myhealth knowing I’m going to get the help I need. I have multiple health issues and if i didn’t have Myhealth to use, and having confidence that I’ll receive the help I needed, I know I’d be so stressed and constantly in worse health than I am now.
I’m positive that because I receive the best help and support through this app, that I’m doing so much better than if I didn’t have it.
It’s just that simple, using the app has helped me so many times, that I know I’d be so much worse off than I am now.
Thank you for making this app easy to use and the best tool in my health tool box!
Glitches with app or staff?
I have been a long time patient of Vanderbilt and have used the app since it first launched. However- I seem to run to to nothing but problems for the last 2 months, anytime I try and schedule an appointment with my provider (whom I’ve had for 8 years), I get an “error” message they are out of network and I’m not able to make the appointment. So then I call and am told they ARE still in network and will continue to be in network for Medicaid, and that it’s some sort of glitch. That was in March. I’m still NOT able to use the app to schedule appointments and was basically given a refill to last while I “figure out” what’s going on. I asked my provider if maybe they needed to get authorization (which the website states is a possibility), and was told that wasn’t the problem. Seeing as my insurance is even listed on the Vanderbilt website as in network, I’m not sure what exactly I’m supposed to do to “figure this out”… I really can’t afford to have any type of lapse in treatment at this point, and I consider having to locate a new provider that I click with a HUGE interruption in treatment and inconvenience to me. This isn’t the healthcare Vanderbilt USED to pride themselves on. If it is the app fix the glitches please!
Good way to view history and contact providers
I have a lot of tests done due to ongoing health issues. This may vary from provider to provider, but for my care I find it’s an excellent option to old fashioned waiting or phone calls. If it is important they will call to discuss results. I can see most of my test results as soon as they are available. There may be a few my provider has held for her review before I see them. I usually get a prompt response from my provider, within a few days about test results. Also for non urgent medical questions she or he either sends me a message or a staff member responds. I can review and compare previous test results. Send messages to change appointments. Overall this is the best interactive program I have seen. Along with excellent staff it makes healthcare so much smoother. I have had interaction with at least five different departments and all have worked well. I wish all providers used the same type system.
