Got the game a couple days ago and am very pleased with it. The ship design is very expansive and I’d venture to even say immersive. The grind isn’t too brutal to earn the cash necessary to buy new ships, the weapon types feel unique, the campaign is very nice and a great way to earn cash, the Celestium isn’t like most special currency in mobile games where it is pay to win. However, the balancing in the matchmaking needs tweaking. During the transition phase between Corvette to Frigate I noticed how utterly unfair it was once I reached the endless numbers of Valkyries fighting my Dart or Raven. And before that using the base corvette to slaughter fighters. The disparity in the ships can be off putting, I think that the level should determine matches. A level 1 can only fight other level 1s or level 2s, a level 20 can only fight other level 20s or a level below or higher. The final point is the need for a nerf of lasers, the bypassing shields is pretty garbage and leads to a stupid meta of plastering a ship with lasers and shields and reactors and you can’t lose. If a laser is going through a shield I think the damage has to be lessened. And this is just a little thing but the ability to color the ships would be very nice, would lead to more creativity in the playerbase. And maybe a test area where you can take a ship you lost to and put it against your new ship design without the repairs but you don’t earn cash or experience for winning in this test area
