As a single mom trying to navigate a very serious new allergy, Spokin has been a life saver. 👏🏼 I’m able to quickly find nearby places to eat and recipes. My particular allergy tends to show up in just about every restaurant, so I just ended up avoiding eating out when I first found out what my exact allergy is. Obviously, not eating out is good to do- but it’s not fun to never be able to eat out. 😋 This has really changed things for me and has made it easier to still enjoy going out without being scared all the time. It also shares feedback from others on how easy or difficult it was to navigate menus for allergens. Also just being so new to navigating my allergy challenge in general - and with my allergen having so many different names and being hidden in so many ‘base ingredients,’ Spoken has taken a big weight off my back showing which foods at the grocery I can have. I already have very little time to focus on myself with it just being myself and my daughter and working full time, and I was struggling to give myself the time to figure out what to eat with my new allergy challenges- literally the first week and a half I lived off only bananas and water 🤣 because I was too scared to eat and felt I didn’t have time to figure out what I can eat. This app has helped me find so many safe products while dealing with multiple food allergies. Being able to see what other users have to say about products and restaurants has made me feel much more confident consuming new products. You are able to follow others with your list of food allergies as well as people in your area to see what they have to say as well! You are also able to search new recipes that will not include the allergens you have selected! I have been waiting years to find something like this app! The app not only focuses on food, but also on places that are allergy friendly. This has helped me learn more about fun things to do at places that are allergy aware. Their new tool allows you to plug in your own personal auto injector information and will not only alert you when they are about to expire, but also if there is a recall with your lot number! How AMAZING! Anyone with food allergies starting to think about college, this App gives so much information on how to chose the best/safest place for you! Thank you Spokin!

Truly the best allergy app out there! Spokin helped me feel confident in studying abroad and beyond studying abroad, the app has helped me in finding safe places to eat. There is so much useful and in-depth allergy information on food products and their verified brand partners. I love the variety of guides they put out it really shows that allergies are not and don’t have to be a scary/restricting thing. I have been able to eat out in so many different countries/states because of Spokin and it has made travel planning so much easier. Being able to follow people with similar allergies who live around me has helped me discover new restaurants or try restaurants in my area that I’ve avoided due to my allergies. The app has so many amazing features and information beyond restaurant recommendations, one being inputting your auto-injector information and it will notify you when it is about to expire.
