You must own a Synology NAS or NVR to run this app, and be running the latest Surveillance Station 8.2 to get the complete set of features. Synology LiveCam requires a Synology Surveillance Device License to operate. To purchase more licenses, please contact our authorized distributors at your location. With Synology LiveCam, you can turn your mobile device into an IP camera and pair it with Surveillance Station. This not only allows you to view live streaming, recordings, and snapshots on both Surveillance Station and your mobile device, you can also download and store the files locally for saving and viewing.

What is the point

I downloaded the app thinking that it would be a good way to record potentially dangerous situation when out and about, but you can not record while connected to your surveillance server via quickconnect relay. This is a shortcoming that should be addressed.

Works well. iPhone 5s (iOS 12.5.1) favors near focus

Up and running was pretty straight forward. Is it possible to have the app set the camera focus or at least set it to infinity? The phone refuses to focus through a screen outside the window instead of the background.Edit: ISO control/autoISO (with gentle step changing) as well would be very useful. I’ve noticed every time the ISO automatically changes, such as when the sun is going down, the focus gets checked again and the screen outside the window becomes the focal target again. Not looking to make this app into a camera app, just hoping to get minimal control over the camera to stabilize some of its more irritating auto functions. Thank you! App functions very well. Just need it to control a few things to make an older iPhone a more reliable surveillance camera.

Works just as i hoped it would, yes i had to buy a license but it is worth it, some reviews mentioned it does not work away from home , i found it works just as i had hoped and i am able to stream video right to my NAS from work 50 miles away. Quality is good with a few minor skips could have a bigger issue if you are on weak cellular signal

Works well with recording my phone straight to the NAS! My only feature request would be able to record both the front and rear camera at the same time for use as a dash cam.
