+20yr T1D, been through a slew of management systems. Been very happy with the Omnipod 5 for a while now, and was SO excited when they released the app; for years I’ve complained about having to cart so many things and devices around, and now it literally all is from my phone (with the Dexcom G6), it truly is a dream come true. I love the app and the ease of use, and the comfort I get in knowing I really just need to keep track of my one phone, but I wish a couple things were different/better.1) wish the CGM history chart in the app displayed when my insulin/basal is paused because I’m going low or whatever, like it does on the PDM. I’m sure it is pausing my basal, but it makes me nervous that I can’t actually see and confirm the when my number is dropping.2) the sensor connectivity is… iffy? I though it was fine at first, but with my last 2-3 sensors, I’ve noticed the app is “searching” for my sensor more and more (even while my G6 app shows my numbers just fine) where I don’t remember my PDM ever having this issue quite as much. It’s happening more and more, and has me a little concerned and wondering if the adaptivity is working and giving my the insulin I might need, and has me debating going back to my PDM3) minor, but I wish I could select the light or dark theme on my own for the app, instead of being dictated by my phone’s system. I like my phone’s dark theme, but for my med apps, I want the light because I wanna make sure I am able to see everything and the difference is just a subtle reminder that “yeah, this app I need to pay attention to when I’m in it”
Great app, with one drawback

I love this app; it takes a huge strain off my life and I wouldn’t give it up for the world. So download it. The point of this review is to ask the developers to consider working to take the lag out of the app. It is incredibly slow to operate. Everything works, but buttons take a couple seconds to register and I often find it a pain to do simple actions like turning on activity mode or changing my pod. Furthermore, I really wish there was a way to automatically add the new Dexcom sensor by communicating with the Dexcom app rather than having to manually add it every time I change my Dexcom. It would also be nice to have an account feature that saves your settings in case your app has an error which requires you to redownload it, which has happened to me before. Other than those annoyances/requests, I really love this app. If you’d have told me when I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2012 that one day soon I’d be able to see and control everything related to my diabetes from my phone, I wouldn’t have believed you.
Needs the FaceId on iphone to have a longer Revalidation

Great app as i dont need to cary the OM5-PDM , but this apps request for faceid every time we switch between Dexcom (to enter insulin amount or review anything) OM5 app keeps asking for Revalidation … my Banking or my Financial trade apps dont ask every time we switch apps. The PDA had a tuneable Timeout for up to 2 min; this app needs it. The security module seems to programmed by an Intern who is also related at Insulet-Executive and lacks “security interface / validation ” knowledge as they do not have money in their Banking app as funded by parents and definitely no stock trade apps … Really disappointed . If the iphone itself has Security Faceid to unlock; why is OM5 app Re-asking every time on switches to the app … Dexcom has none ; guess Dexcom is not a medical app … Also if Dexcom app is turned off and when turned back on within 8 hrs it will fill in the missing BG values … why cant the OM5 when missing a BG value go in a loop and say check every minute and ask Dexcom Api for past value … where as currently OM5 checks only every 5 min and if lack of communication doesn’t get BG it say oh well… doesn’t get next (now 10 min later) keeps saying, Oh! Well - again simple lack of knowledge of Dexcom or Freestyle Libre Apps - hire the person from Dexcom for 1 or 2 weeks to coach the interns how to request the previous readings (& if reading is missing , loop Every 1 min not 5 nor do the Oh Well - CGMs have stored buffered BG reading)
disappointing

i was so looking forward to the ios version of this app, but have been seriously underwhelmed and disappointed with it since getting it. besides the standard bugs and complaints about time consuming verification methods needed to open the app, losing the ability to keep track of pod sites has been disappointing. the fact that i need to tap the glucose area twice to get the keypad to show up is simply irritating, because taking us to a whole new page and not even making the page open with a number pads just feels like thoughtless design. i finally got switched over to the g7 after months of being without sensors thanks to insurance issues, only to find out that this app isn't compatible with the g7??? this app came addy the same time as g7 integration, if not AFTER, so why can't i use it with the g7??? it's beyond disappointing, but not at all surprising. the only thing keeping me with omnipod is the convenience of no tubing, but i honestly have been questioning if that's even worth the hassle at this point because omnipod continues to disappoint me time and time again. its clear that there is no input from users taken into consideration without massive complaint which feels disrespectful. do better, please
• Bug fixes and performance enhancements
• Update to app reauthentication requirements
• Update to the bolus screen to include adjusted for sensor
