So glad this app was created!

I have been wishing for a while now that I could learn proper form before exercising. The problem with most at home workouts is you are just supposed to follow along and you might not know if you are using proper form when trying to follow someone. L.A. breaks down every form and even provides three levels to choose from based on your body and experience. I am still recovering from lasting effects from two births and I need the modifications. Thank you LA, for creating this app so those of us who would not have otherwise been able to afford physical therapy and personal training can have access to your professional knowledge and guidance! I am so grateful and look forward to getting my body back into shape!

Love the workouts, the app could be better

I really like LA’s simple, low-fuss, form-focused style of workout and instruction. Taking structural care of my body and feeling strong just as important to me as looking good, and she is so good about illustrating proper form. Some of the workouts are a style in which she moves through a workout while providing instruction (I like these), some are timed and recorded chunks of video that seem built from a “moves library” (I don’t like these). There’s a decent variety of workout duration and targeted muscle groups. It seems like about half the videos on the app are also available for free on her channels, but it appears they’re adding more app-only videos somewhat regularly. The main issue I have is with the app itself — it’s buggy, clunky, not intuitive, and slow. It’s also not a terribly expensive app, compared to other trainers’ programs, so maybe we’re getting what we pay for? Unclear, but I’d really love to see a better designed interface to access LA’s helpful videos.

Effective workouts and thoughtful programming

The workouts and programming in this app are things I’ve been looking for for years. It’s physical therapy meets personal training and I truly don’t have enough good things to say! As someone who really enjoys movement but has been continually hampered by injuries, this app is helping me become more in shape and teaching me so much about my body and how to move correctly. Dr. Thoma makes the workouts fun and informative - and most importantly effective. The programming is so so thoughtful, each week is shaped to work the whole body, while also fitting in some really specific focuses that for me have been key to achieving the well-rounded strength in my body that helps prevent injury.
