App is not user friendly or very useful

I can’t speak to the error messages people get as my AV people installed this system. I can however speak to how barely useful the app is. I can view all cameras live fine. If there is a situation where I need to watch playback it becomes a bit difficult. It only allows for one hour of playback at a time. If you know the time of the event that’s fine. But if you’re working with a three hour window of time it’s painful to use. Once you dial up the one hour of footage you can’t scrub though at all. You’re best option is to set it to 8x and just watch the whole hour until you see what you’re looking for and then have to figure out how to get back to that moment to watch in real time. If you want to put footage on a drive , for the police for example, you have to either get someone to come out and do it for you or you have to figure out how to offload it yourself. There’s no easy save and email option in the app. If you’ve ever used Nest cameras you’ll know what I mean. It’s as if someone decided to make a camera app with a store bought program and just put it out without actual testing it for use. Good luck everyone.

I just installed the Samsung camera system and it requires you to install this software for remote viewing. It requires my IT computer specialist to get this properly installed. After this hurdle, the other reviewers are correct as you can rarely view your cameras. Over 80% of the time it states connection is lost, or some other error!!! The most worthless thing ever created by such a large company like Samsung. My computer IT person said Samsung is technologies for web viewing from the 1990's. By the way, I also have a system by Swan that I purchased at Sams Club and that system was PLUG AND PLAY. Very few network errors while viewing. I installed the Swan system by myself in less than 10 minutes. I may just THROW AWAY the entire Samsung system. My goodness. I would have never guessed this... I never leave reviews, but other buyers should know.

The app is also not updated for the newer iPhone screens, it's still the size of iPhone 6/7--Not even 7+. The touch on the app is highly unresponsive. You have to click into a camera many times with your fingers to register. The app itself is built in a very Spartan, rudimentary way, yet still manages not to work properly. This is probably the worst app I have on my entire phone. We are only talking about the app. Don't even get me started on setting up the cameras and making the system accessible outside your home to use this app outside. Everything in the app is overly-complicated in setup but woefully inadequate during use. I am soon upgrading to a HomeKit-compatible system like Logitec Circle 2 WIRED.

This app is horrible. It constantly pops up window "can not connect to equipment"Seems to happen after working fine for a month. There also is no way to contact anyone. Tired of having to make a special trip to this property and call the help line so I can be walked through resetting every number in every category for it to happen again in another 30 or so days. Extremely disappointed and paid quite a bit for this security system. Hope someone reads this and can fine a fix for it.
