What’s New

Version 1.7.9

This update FINALLY fixes the bug when creating new items.

We are genuinely sorry this took so long. As someone who relies on Clear daily myself (Phill, if you wrote into support) it was anxious every day we didn’t have this fix out, understanding what you all were going through.

Thank you to everyone who wrote in and helped test the fix update. I think we received dozens of screen recordings of the issue! There were so many support emails. It was stirring how many of you still care for this little app.

P.S. For those of you who are more early adopter types and use it mainly on the phone, or were excited when we announced years ago a new version in the works, you can reach out at the support link listed on this page for a TestFlight invite to the new Clear.

Editors’ Notes

With its clean, colorful interface and intuitive swipe controls, Clear makes managing to-do lists across multiple devices lightning-fast and almost effortless. Its rainbow-hued checklists are like miniature works of art, making it simple to tell at a glance what you need to do and how urgently you need to do it. Bells? Whistles? Nah, but that’s by design. The developers knows that creating a to-do list is about managing chores, not creating new ones.

Ms Angie ,

Thank you for the Dec 22’ update!

I LOVE this app. I’m reaching a point in my life where I need to write down most everything or I’ll forget. I use this app daily, several times a day, for work, for personal organization, even just musings that I don’t want to forget or look into later. I was worried updates were over and with the new iOS update that shut the app down every time you made an entry, my heart sank thinking that was the end for this app.

So glad it’s not. It’s easy to use, ready to jot down quick ideas, can organize those lists, and do everything other note apps make additional steps for. Someone like me, just needs lists. That’s it. I need to see my day item by item and organize them by importance - and I’m golden.

Thank you again!

longtime Clear user ,

This app helps me every day!!!

I am so grateful for the app’s repair after the iso 16 update. I’ve checked daily to see if Clear was going to be fixed and did not find that assuring. In reading your note about the anguish also affecting the developer, I now understand and appreciate you even more. From the lack of information about the effort to get the app operating, it was my expectation that Clear was just going to be abandoned. I now understand that you were working furiously to get it back in place.

I use this exclusively on my iPhone and it works so well to not only provide a current to-do list but also my longer term memory for bigger projects to undertake.

Once I found this app, I’ve never had to look for something better. It is easy to start with, and from there, add all the complexity you desire.

Today’s check of Clear, finding it magically working, has me feeling grateful enough to write in thanks to the wonderful person or crew that fixed it!!!!!!
