Persodex: Personal CRM
Contact Manager with Context
Free · In‑App Purchases
A smarter contacts app that helps you stay in touch with the people who matter. Or as we like to call it: Contacts with Context.
Syncs natively with your iOS contacts.
Your personal CRM that lives on top of your iOS contacts.
Your contacts app knows their phone numbers. Persodex helps you remember who they actually are.
Persodex turns your iPhone's native Contacts into a lightweight personal CRM. No duplicate address book, no separate app to maintain. It syncs tags, notes, and details directly with the system Contacts app you already use every day.
Never lose the story behind a relationship. Keep an interaction journal for each contact - what you talked about, where you met, what matters to them - with on-device AI summaries powered by Apple Intelligence. Nothing ever leaves your phone.
Organize the people in your life. Add custom-colored tags and groups for friends, family, coworkers, and networking contacts, so you can filter and find the right person in seconds.
Show up for the moments that matter. A built-in birthday calendar with countdown cards and Home Screen widgets makes sure you never miss another one. Set per-contact catch-up frequencies - weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or quarterly - and get gentle local reminders to reach out before people drift away.
To-Dos
Every contact now has a To-Dos tab for the things you want to get done - send the deck, make the intro, follow up after the trip.
Duplicate contacts cleaner
Empty contacts, No birthday, No photo, First name only, Odd name formatting.
Business Card Scanner
Scan any business card and save the details directly to your contacts in seconds.
Profile Enrichment:
Bring a contact up to date without retyping anything. Connect a service of your choice: FullEnrich, Apollo, Enrich, People Data Labs, or Reverse Contact. Bring your own API key, then tap Update Profile on a contact to look for their current job title, company, work email, phone number, website, and LinkedIn profile. You approve every change, field by field. It stays off until you set it up, and only the contact's name, company, and any work email or profile link are sent - straight to the service you picked.
Remember people who passed away
Some people stay part of your life even after they're gone. A contact's Details tab now has a quiet »Keep in memory« button. Their portrait appears muted everywhere in the app, their page shows their life dates, and their birthday stays on the calendar as a calm remembrance instead of a countdown.
Home Screen widgets keep the essentials visible at a glance: your Business Card QR, upcoming Birthdays, pending Catch-Ups, Favorites, a daily Greeting, and your Latest Notes.
Share yourself just as easily. »My Card« gives you a personal QR business card for instant sharing, with its own Home Screen widget so it's always one tap away.
Explore your network on a map view, switch between English, German, and Spanish, and pick from multiple app icon themes to make it yours.
Persodex is built privacy-first: everything lives on your device, no cloud account, no sign-up, no data collection. Your relationships are your business.
Download Persodex and start remembering the people behind your contacts.

more I’ve been looking for a personal CRM to manage my relationships for >5 years and this is the first that actually hits the mark! I’d love to see some integration with LinkedIn to pull location info, some integration with Apple Mail to pull messages and context and the ability to add reminders to Apple Reminders related to contacts.
Developer Response Thank you so much for your kind review!Automatic enrichment is something I’m exploring for the future, especially detecting when someone changes jobs or roles. The challenge is doing that without compromising the privacy-first approach.

A calmer Upcoming
The greeting at the top of Upcoming can now be folded away. Tap it and it collapses, and it stays collapsed - even after restarting the app. A small arrow next to the title brings it back whenever you want it.
What's New
Persodex can now show you what changed when you update. After an update, a short summary of the new version appears once. You can always find it again under More → About → What's New in This Version.
Mac Version of Persodex
Yes, it’s happening! The first beta will be released around November.
1.3.6 1d ago
Quick actions
Press and hold the Persodex icon on your home screen for New Contact, New Note and Scan Business Card. The same three work with Siri and in Spotlight search.
Member benefits
Lifetime members and subscribers of 3+ months can claim one free Persodex T-shirt. Look for Member Benefits under More → Subscription.
Also
- Fixed: some switches were barely visible in dark mode.
1.3.5 Oct 12
You can now pin contacts to the top of the list.
How it works: press and hold a contact and choose Pin to Top. The person moves into a Pinned section above A. The same menu then shows Unpin.
pin to top
- Order: pinned contacts appear in the order you pinned them. They leave their letter section, the way pinned chats work in Messages.
- While searching: the Pinned section steps aside and you get normal results, so a match never ends up in a group you didn't ask for.
What else:
- Note locations now show the city after the place name, for example "Bratwursthäusle, Nürnberg". (Thx, Dominik!)
- The Relationships network now uses the same grey as Contacts
Pssst: I’m working on a Mac version of Persodex. But since release notes are famously unread, this stays between us.

- Fixed: Birthdays displaying with incorrect dates (Thx, brrcrites & Jacob!)
- Fixed: tapping the delete button after a partial swipe now works. (Thx, Albert!)

Pumping out improvements like there is no tomorrow!
Remember people who passed away (Thx, Martin!)
Some people stay part of your life even after they're gone. A contact's Details tab now has a quiet »Keep in memory« button. Their portrait appears muted everywhere in the app, their page shows their life dates, and their birthday stays on the calendar as a calm remembrance instead of a countdown.
- Everything that nudged you to reach out stops on its own: no birthday notifications, no catch-up reminders, nothing about the age they would have turned. Widgets and Cleanup leave them out as well.
- The mark syncs over iCloud to your other devices. Removing it from the same sheet brings everything back.
You stay in control: »Show remembered people« is in the list options, and the switch for the whole feature is under More → Preferences. Marks are kept either way.
- Nothing is written to the iOS address book.
Open addresses in your preferred map app
On a contact's Details tab, tap the address to open it in Apple Maps or Google Maps - whichever you picked under More → Preferences. It works right away, even while the map preview is still loading. The »Open in …« line below the map is tappable now, too.
My Card - QR Code
The »My Card« screen now has a QR Code Contents section with a switch for each detail: Company, Job Title, Phone, Email, Website, and Address. Your name is always part of the card - that's not switchable, since a nameless card would just confuse whoever scans it.
The »My Card« screen now also has an Edit Contact button, right at the top of the section that already had »Change Contact« and »Remove My Card«. It opens the same native iOS contact editor the app uses on every contact detail, and it works in English, German and Spanish since that label was already in the app's translations.
Also
- Lifetime owners can now pick an Obsidian app icon under More → Appearance.
- Age on the birthday: the Birthday row on a contact's Details tab now shows the age they're turning, after the countdown.
- it's not possible to add empty notes anymore (Thx, Albert!)
1.3.1 Oct 3
This is a big one!
Profile Enrichment
Bring a contact up to date without retyping anything. Connect a service of your choice: FullEnrich, Apollo.io, Enrich.so, People Data Labs, or Reverse Contact.
Birthday reminders
Persodex can now remind you of birthdays (duh!) on the day itself, at your reminder time. If their birth year is saved, it also tells you how old they're turning. Tap the reminder to open their contact. The Birthday reminders switch is under More → Settings.
Company contacts (Thx, brrcrites!)
- Contacts for a business rather than a person are now filed under the company name instead of »?«, with a building icon when there's no photo.
- If a contact has both a name and a company, choose how it appears with Show as Person or Show as Company on its Details tab. It's the same setting as the Company checkbox in Contacts on the Mac.
- Cleanup no longer lists companies under No birthday, and the Favorites widget no longer shows them without a name.
Also:
- New here? The welcome screens now show Persodex in action.
- Names that start with an accented letter, like Ángela, are now filed under A.
1.3.0 Sep 28
Fixed @-mentions within notes and some minor issues.
1.2.5 Sep 17
Add missing pictures with Gravatar: »No photo« can now look up pictures on Gravatar, where people publish one for their own email address. It stays off until you turn it on, and it never sends a name or a number.
1.2.4 Sep 13
New: Cleanup
Under More, Persodex now scans your address book and tells you what is wrong with it.
- Empty contacts, No birthday, No photo, First name only, Odd name formatting, No catch-up frequency and No tags or groups each fix in place, one contact at a time.
- Possible duplicates are shown as a group, not just pairs, since the same person can be filed three times. Numbers and emails are pooled, and where two copies disagree you pick the right value field by field. Your notes, to-dos, tags and catch-up frequency all move to the contact that survives.
- Not every match is one person. Two brothers share a landline, a couple share an email. Leave the contacts alone changes nothing, stops the reminder, and stays undoable under Left alone.
1.2.3 Sep 10
A quick one: Improved onboarding tour, added two-sided business card scanning, and fixed notification issues.
1.2.2 Sep 9
Your iPhone and iPad finally agree
Notes, to-dos, favorites, tags and catch-up frequencies you add on one device now land on the right person everywhere.
See what time it is for them
A contact with an address now shows their local time under Details, so you know before you call whether you are about to wake someone up. When the date over there has already turned over it says Tomorrow or Yesterday. The offset is worked out entirely on your device - nothing is looked up online.
Notes, rearranged
The type filter has left the toolbar menu and now sits under the title as a row of chips, so you can always see which filter is on and clear it in one tap. Notes also gains the same List / Map switch the Contacts tab uses, instead of a button whose icon changed meaning as you pressed it.
Fixed
On iPad, the window controls in the top corner no longer sit on top of the screen title.
1.2.1 Sep 5
Introducing: To-Dos
Every contact now has a To-Dos tab for the things you want to get done - send the deck, make the intro, follow up after the trip.
- Give a to-do a due date and Persodex reminds you. Tap the reminder and it opens that contact with the to-do highlighted.
- Flag anything Important to pull it to the top.
- Add one without opening the contact: press and hold a name in your list and pick »Add To-Do«.
- Due to-dos show up under Upcoming, next to birthdays and catch-ups.
- Not your thing? One switch in Settings hides to-dos and stops their reminders.
Free for everyone.
Upcoming page has been redesigned
The whole screen is new. A dark header greets you by name and sums up what's coming in a single line. »You have 3 catch-ups, 2 to-dos and 1 birthday« with each number tinted to match its rows below, so the sentence doubles as the key to the list. Your events sit on a light panel with rounded shoulders that rides up over the header as you scroll: the summary when you want it, the full list when you don't.
- Narrow the list to Today, Next Week, Next Month or Anytime.
- Filter by what it is: birthdays, catch-ups or to-dos.
- Anything overdue turns red wherever it appears.
Your AI note-summary now reads your to-dos too
Summarising a contact no longer looks only at your notes. It takes in what's still open and what you've already finished, then closes by telling you what's outstanding - anything overdue first. Written by Apple Intelligence on your iPhone, as before. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Name-Sorting (Thank you, »Diva hier«!)
Set how names are displayed and how the list is sorted, separately. In Settings, under Names.
Fixed
- The app now speaks the language you picked in Settings everywhere, widgets included.
- The contact list no longer jumps back to the top while you're scrolling it.
- Press and hold a contact, choose Add Note or Edit Contact, and it opens every time instead of occasionally doing nothing.
- Pinching to zoom in Network no longer opens a contact by accident.
1.2.0 Aug 31
Business Card Scanner
Point your camera at a business card and Persodex reads it. Name, title, company, email, phone, website and address. The card is read entirely on your iPhone - the photo is never uploaded and never leaves your device!
- Reads addresses from around the world.
- Works out the country from the phone number when the card doesn't print one - as most cards don't.
- Warns you if the person already looks to be in your contacts, before you create a duplicate.
- Anything it couldn't place is shown under "Also on the Card" instead of being quietly dropped.
- No camera to hand? Pick a photo of the card from your library instead.
New Scan Card widget
Put it on your Home Screen or Lock Screen and the camera opens straight into scanning - useful at a conference, when you have four seconds and one free hand.
Also new
- Create tags directly in the app, without going through an existing contact.
1.1.8 Aug 21
- Reorder tags and groups: tap Edit, then drag them wherever you want. Your order is used everywhere they appear, including the contact list.
- Two new catch-up frequencies: Half-yearly and Yearly, for the people you check in with once or twice a year. (Thx, Astrid!)
- Smaller fixes and polish throughout.
1.1.7 Aug 15
This is a big one!
Your relationships, finally connected.
Apple Contacts already lets you add relationships like spouse, parent, child, friend, or manager. But they’re stored as names, not actual connections between contacts.
Persodex takes this native feature further. It matches relationships to the people in your address book, turns them into real, navigable connections, and brings them together in an interactive network.
Start with yourself and explore the people around you, from family and friends to colleagues and professional connections.
And just like the rest of Persodex, the underlying relationship data stays in your native contacts.
—
Your notes keep their line breaks.
Write a note across several lines and it stays that way - in Persodex
and on the contact card in Apple's Contacts app. Until now, every line
break was flattened into a space the moment the note was saved.
Also fixed:
- Editing a note could quietly replace it with a copy, losing its
location and its place in your history. Notes are now edited in place.
- Notes added from the share sheet are no longer reformatted the next
time they're written to the contact card.
- Notes you've already written are repaired automatically the next time
you edit that contact.
1.1.6 Aug 14
Faster map, deeper search, and a batch of fixes.
- Search now goes deeper than names! It looks through your notes, tags, companies and job titles, so you can find someone by what you remember about them.
- The contacts map now opens instantly. Once an address has been located it's remembered, and new ones are prepared quietly in the background - so your pins are usually there the moment the map appears.
- New locate-me button on the map centers it on your position.
- Fixed: custom tag colors no longer reset when tags sync with your iOS Contacts.
- A more reliable app launch, plus a new Diagnostics screen under More → About that makes support requests much easier to solve.
1.1.5 Aug 9
What's new in 1.1.3:
- Note locations now sync with your contact's note - including map coordinates, so nothing is lost when you reinstall or switch devices
- Fixed: general (sticky) notes are now easy to read in dark mode
- iCloud backup fix
What's new in 1.1.4:
@-Mentions are here!
Your contacts are now connected to each other. Type @ in any note to mention another contact: tap a mention to jump straight to their profile.
- Mention people in notes: type @ and pick a contact from the suggestion bar
- Backlinks in the timeline: when someone is mentioned in another contact's note, it appears right in their timeline, marked with an @
- Mentions filter: filter a contact's timeline to see only the notes they're mentioned in
Add notes from Mail
Share an email to Persodex via the share sheet and it's saved as a note on the matching contact! Details captured before you forget them.
Notes on the map
Notes with a location can now be viewed on a map, right from a contact's timeline.
Improvements & fixes
- Multiple phone numbers and email addresses are now fully supported, with a quick picker for calls and messages
- Fixed tags briefly disappearing after adding them to a contact
- Fixed toggles looking inconsistent in dark mode
- Fixed widgets occasionally staying locked after upgrading to Pro
- Improved iCloud sync reliability
As always: your data stays on your device and in your private iCloud. No servers, no tracking.
Feedback is always welcome! You'll find the link on the About page. Thanks, Alex
1.1.4 Aug 1
This update makes Persodex smoother and more reliable:
- Swipe to delete: remove note entries with a quick swipe, just like you'd expect
- Your old contact notes are now preserved and shown in the contact's details
- Setting a catch-up frequency now only applies going forward - no surprise overdue reminders
- New Contacts Access section in settings - check and fix your contacts permission anytime
- iCloud sync status at a glance in settings
- Grant missing permissions directly from the welcome screen
- Visual polish: cleaner toolbar and improved statistics layout
Thanks for using Persodex! If you enjoy the app, a review means a lot.
