Stop opening social apps on autopilot. Hold gives you a guided 60-second pause and can launch automatically before distracting apps.
Your thumb opens Instagram before you do. Hold puts sixty seconds in the way.
Open Hold when you feel the pull. One warm sphere, breathing slowly. Rest a finger anywhere on the lower half of the screen and the sphere drifts, lighting small points as it goes, each with a soft tone and a tap in your hand. Breathe with it. After a minute it blooms and fades, and Hold asks one question: what were you about to do?
Put it down, or go anyway. Both are fine. You noticed, and that is the whole skill.
Make it fire automatically
An app you have to remember never fires. Hold walks you through a two-minute iOS Shortcuts automation so that opening Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube or Reddit opens Hold first. Then move that app off your home screen and put Hold in its old spot. Muscle memory becomes the trigger.
See the urge change
Rate the pull before and after in one word: faint, strong, fierce. Watch it drop. Hold keeps a count of urges surfed and how often you put the phone down, with a week grid you can paste anywhere. No streaks, on purpose. A missed day zeroes nothing.
Built to be quiet
No sign-up. No notifications. No account. Nothing leaves your phone. The room gets quieter, not louder, the more you use it in a day, so Hold never becomes the thing you're compulsively opening.
Hold Complete (one-time purchase) adds three more rooms, two and three minute holds, and your full pull history. Everything you use to beat the urge stays free forever.
