WHAT PICKY FLAGS • Artificial dyes (Red 40, Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Blue 1 and more) • High-fructose corn syrup • Hydrogenated fats • Seed oils (canola, soybean, sunflower, corn...) • Palm oil • Artificial sweeteners (aspartame, sucralose, acesulfame K) • Controversial preservatives (BHA, BHT, TBHQ, nitrites, benzoates) • Gut-irritating additives (carrageenan, polysorbate 80, CMC) • Sugar in the top three ingredients • Ultra-processed foods (NOVA 4) • Heavy-metal risk by food category (rice, dark chocolate, high-mercury fish and more), with the source • MSG and artificial flavors (for information) YOUR ALLERGENS Milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, gluten, fish, shellfish and sesame. Anything you select is always flagged in red. Mark an allergy as serious and "may contain" warnings are flagged in red too. WORKS WITH LABELS IN ANY LANGUAGE Picky reads ingredient data from Open Food Facts, a free database of millions of products worldwide. Imported product with a French or German label?
