Excellent pet insurance

I’ve insured my two cats and dog with Healthy Paws as soon as we adopted all three. This meant they’ve been covered their entire lives. We wanted to make sure we would never be in a position to have to choose between our pet and our finances. I did a ton of research on pet insurance and HP seemed highly rated. I was afraid I’d have denied claims later in life but that’s been entirely unfounded. One of our cats was diagnosed with colon cancer earlier this year and needed immediate treatment. Her diagnostics and care was extremely expensive. A ton of tests were done, followed by emergency surgery, hospitalization, and chemo treatment that’s still ongoing. I kept track of every invoice and expected reimbursement - Healthy Paws covered everything according to the terms. Today our cat is officially cancer free now although chemo continues. Healthy Paws continues to reimburse expenses as expected. The reimbursement has exceeded the premiums we paid as I expected for something as serious as cancer. They made it hassle free and the app makes it so easy to submit claims. I just send the invoice from my email to Healthy Paws before I even leave the clinic. I’m so happy with Healthy Paws and will forever be grateful that I didn’t have to choose between busting my savings and my pet.

Excellent Pet Insurance

When we rescued our pup in April 2020, the Healthy Paws brochure was in her adoption folder. We had heard way too many horror stories from friends and families in regards to pet emergencies and bills so we figure for $50 a month it was worth the piece of mind and I have been happy we did that ever since. She has had skin issues her whole life and we take her to get monthly cytopoint injections which are always covered after we hit that deductible. Recently we had to rush our dog to the hospital and she was diagnosed with PLE which required a lot of tests and 2 nights in the hospital and a bill of $8700. We were nervous about the bill being covered and it was so reassuring when the vet at the hospital said they have seen no issues with Healthy Paws and they deal with them a lot. I submitted the claim and within days 90% was reimbursed to us. The app is super easy to use and claims are a breeze to submit. The turnaround time is super fast and the direct deposit is seamless. Seriously it’s the easiest process. I am so happy we had decided to enroll in this policy right from the start otherwise we would have been left paying a huge bill out of pocket and now a preexisting condition. I cannot recommend Healthy Paws enough.

The Best Pet Insurance!

I have been a Healthy Paws customer for going on 5 years now, and currently have 4 pets (2 dogs and 2 cats) insured with them. My prior dog was insured with Healthy Paws as well. Fortunately, I have only needed to make claims for two of my dogs, and the claims process and coverage has gone smoothly every time. The app is very user-friendly and makes submitting claims quick and easy. My most recent claim was approved for reimbursement in less than 24 hours on a Friday, and I had the funds back in my bank account the next business day (Monday). Healthy Paws has covered everything they said they would, and at a fraction of the cost of some of their most well-known competitors. My premiums have only increased marginally over time, at a rate reasonable for the changes in average veterinary costs. Plus, my dog’s recent surgery requires physical therapy post op - something that is automatically covered under Healthy Paws’ policy but that a lot of other companies charge extra to cover. I work in the veterinary industry myself, at a hospital that frequently recommends and deals directly with another insurance company, and I STRONGLY prefer Healthy Paws - I cannot sing their praises enough.

Filing claims is easy and straightforward, reimbursement is always quick and consistent with my expectations based on my policy, and their customer service is incredibly easy to access and always helpful. I had a plan for my pit bull mix and used it throughout her life for big and small claims, including a cruciate ligament repair, various surgeries for injuries, illnesses, and eventually radiation and regular therapies for osteosarcoma. Although there were times when my dog was young and healthy that the policy seemed like an unnecessary expense I was always quickly reminded of the value of having my beloved pet covered when even the smallest unexpected issues arose. Healthy Paws took financial constraints out of difficult decisions over the entire course of her life. I was always able to make decisions based on the best and most appropriate veterinary treatment available, rather than being restricted by my financial means at the time (which varied considerably over the decade I had my dog). I highly recommend insuring your pet’s health with Healthy Paws.
