Awesome app but something’s missing

Sneaky pop up Journal app from apple has taken over any other journaling in my life with the convenience and add free truly free app.
I love the suggestions feature, the integration of cross app usage to add to entries. Very straight forward simple interface. Above all the lock feature is golden. BUT something’s are missing that I’m hoping will come with future iOS updates. There’s no feedback prompts so idk if this is a final product. If future updates are to come I hope time stamps are included. I personally reflect on my entries and the time of the day is very important right now to gauge how different phases of the day play into my mental health. Second wishful addition is the ability to stitch individual music, stickers or other media into the entries outside of what’s generated by the suggestion feature. For example it typically suggest songs on repeat and insert all 4 or 5 songs as a collage. Instead the ability to select a specific song that may not be on repeat or a workout from another day for example that would be cool. As far as other media, right now copy and pasting images does not work you have to save it to camera roll then add it. Theres other great suggestions I saw on another review asking something similar to this so it’s good to know I’m not alone. Overall great app though its an extremely useful tool!

Needs more but trusting that it’s coming

As a lot of us Tech nerds do, we go and download 100 of the same type of app looking for the perfect one. When I saw this at pop-up, I just thought it was something I downloaded, because I probably have went on a spree of downloading Journal apps. I never could quite find one that fit my needs. I will say that this one doesn’t quite fit my needs at current, but I am usually pretty optimistic when an app is dropped with the OS. It usually means that as it’s still baking, they’re taking a lot of feedback and actively working on it. I truly hope that’s the case, because it would be nice to have a basic journaling app that integrates well into all of the other things I like to do. As for now, a few brief suggestions that I’m sure will come up are: I’d like to be able to put in a title, I’d like to be able to use hashtags or categories or tags or whatever they call it, I like for attachments to be in line as it would go with my thoughts, I’d like it to feel more like personal blogging, I’d like to see the timeline develop a little bit more, I’d like more options to integrate or add various other types of attachments, I’d like for it to pull from different sources, I’d like it to integrate with moods. I think that was all of my initial thoughts, but definitely excited to see where this goes.

Even the App Store gives us a title

5 stars because I love the app. I don’t want to give it any less because it’s knew and I see the potential. There needs to be some type of search option. I see a lot of people saying to make it like a blog type journal but please don’t, there’s apps for that already everybody. Love the minimalism vibe to the app but I don’t love that if I want to find something my only real options are searching by hitting “picture” which almost all of my journals have pictures. I like that it will prompt me to write about stuff and use my location to give me those prompts though. I wish that we could add titles though. The only ones with titles are the preset prompts and if I want one with a title I have to take one of those and completely change it (change location, photos, title). The only way I get titles is from a trip to the grocery store which I then change to a different journal. I use this app almost daily as I am young and go do fun stuff that I want to remember when I’m old. My memory is already pretty rough so having a journal for it is really a big help. Just think there’s a couple improvements to make but don’t go crazy and change the whole app please! Keep it as close as you can to this so I don’t have to find a new app and transfer everything.
