The best tech podcasts ever!

The best things come in three’s! That seems to be the case with the hosts of Connected and Accidental Tech Podcast! The hosts of each show bring a different perspective to Apple and tech in general.
Stephen, Mike, and Federico give Connected listeners a view of Apple hardware and software from the view of tech writers and hardware fans. Stephen’s Apple hardware collection is legendary and his history with Apple gives him a unique angle when discussing things like hardware changes or repair options.
The ATP hosts are all developers that, while definitely fans of Apple, will not hesitate to point out when they disagree with choices the hardware or software teams at Apple make. They are all hardware enthusiasts and do a great job letting you know what new hardware they are trying out and what they like and don’t like about it. I love hearing about Marco’s new toys, but I’m also grateful that John & Casey are there to give differing options. Also, after you listen to their closing song once, you’ll be singing along every time. And don’t forget to visit their Members page. They are the only podcast that I listen to live, then the members ‘bootleg’, and then the edited version.
If you’re using Apple products and have any interests in tech, you need to subscribe to both of these podcasts immediately! You will not regret it.
If you want a third podcast to make it an even three, check out Upgrade with Jason Snell and Mike Hurley.

Best Golf Channel out there

Generally I don’t like the whole golf “influencers” scene but the Foreplay crew offer something different to the rest that I can’t get enough of. I like how honest they are with their position in the golf world in that none of them claim to be any better at the game than they are and that at the end of the day all their opinions and insights are coming from the position of 4 amateur golfers. With that said though when they get access to some of the coolest experiences in golf I really appreciate that they see it through the lens of golf fanboys like the rest of us and not as some professional golf analyst type which makes them so much more relatable. And when they discuss the latest events in the golf world their discussions feel like one I would have with a group of friends which is a great break from some of the more “professionally” oriented channels out there (and Frankie’s tangents about how the Universe works are always great to listen to). They’re relationships with some of the golfers on tour is great too cause they really showcase how cool and relatable some of these pros are (and how insanely much better they are than the common golfer). So if your lookin for a podcast that takes pride in catering to the “average” golfer that loves following the latest golf trends and dramas Frankie, Riggs, Trent, and Lurch got you with us one.

Great for content, not great for control.

I was a stitcher user until they shut down, so I’m new to Apple Podcasts. Since I started this I’ve found it technically better in format and playback and better for finding content. Now I’ve found so many cool shows that i have more content than I could ever listen to!
All good, but there are issues that REALLY annoy me, to the point where I took off 2 stars.
First off, the app should open with new episodes, which is what I mainly want to see.
On a slow day i can browse around and find something else.
Most of all though, are the technical shortcomings. I should say that there might be solutions to these somewhere in settings but the fact that I can’t find them are just as big of a problem. I hate auto play! I don’t want to hear the next thing on some list, i want to decide the next thing to listen to. At the very least I should be able to make my own auto play list but I mostly just want to turn auto play off. I also want to turn off auto download! I’d also much rather sift through new episodes and download what I want then have to “remove download” what I don’t want to listen to, while my phone is getting a data blast to the storage! There is other things I would like to be able to tinker with the settings of, too, but basically it comes down to much more customization control in settings. That would earn this app a full 5 stars!
