LOVE the Axis system - wish there were more classes!
KS532017
I used to go to a Pilates studio but for budget reasons, as well as having a toddler and a baby on the way, I decided to stick to home workouts. I purchased the LIT Axis system and I’ve been loving it so far! I even took it on a work trip with me and was able to do a full workout in my hotel room. Feels just as effective as my Pilates reformer classes! One thing I would ask, though, is for more classes. I feel like I’m doing the same classes over and over. Without the Strength Machine or the Bar, there are only so many classes available. There are also only FOUR prenatal classes. Over the course of 9 months, it gets old quickly doing the same four workouts over and over again. But a LOT of the other workouts have a core focus that I have to modify for my pregnancy, and it’s tough to modify sometimes without an instructor telling me how to do that. Many of the classes say “added December 2022” - I don’t see any for 2023 (or at least not a lot?) Please update the classes and add more pre-/post-natal classes :)Thanks!
Too expensive for a so-so equipment and a poor app experience
--Me, myself & I
The machine is at best ok (they sell you the rower plus the axis bands, and the carabiners on the bands really struggle to clip and unclip to the rower, they’re clearly too small… it’s their products 200% and can’t get it to match?! And when you assemble the rower your realize that it could have come with a sensor they never told you about and it’s another 100$). But the real crap is the app. I’ve reinstalled it five times (the only troubleshooting they suggest), it never once asked for permission to the health/fitness app [update: it did after I installed the app on the watch. But then it always fails to actually connect and or if it does it disconnects 3sec into the workout and pauses it]. Even more weirdly they call that “connect to your Apple Watch”, what about just read and write workouts into Apple Health like any decent app does [update: it asks for permission to write workout but not to read them so if you happen (as you will) to workout not exclusively with this app it will ignore that] Also, if that “connect to Apple Watch” were to ever work, you’d have to workout with your phone, not an iPad, which defeats the whole purpose of a “bring your own screen” tablet attachment approach. Of and the screen attachment is not easily resizable so if you work put sometimes with an iPad and sometimes with a phone you’ll end up putting your phone on the floor. And the black background they use it’s awful in the sun, you won’t see anything if you put the rower outdoor. Overall, everything feels like an afterthought and the app is crap. I do like Tiffany’s Pilates machine workouts so that’s where the 2 starts are coming from.
Unethical business practices

There is no “risk free trial” or even a trial at all really. This company refused to accept a return for 2 unopened and unused items multiple times during my 30 day “risk free trial” - during which I never even got to try the item because their hidden return policy, which is on their support website, does not match what they product pages say. If you request a return they will most likely deny you without even asking if the products were open or used, that’s what they did to me. They ignored my request to return my entire order 3 times before I had to report the transaction with PayPal and open up a dispute. After escalating the dispute, they continued to email me personally (which violates PayPal’s terms of service). One message was just to try and manipulate me into thinking I got a good deal “because I paid the lowest price it was ever sold at” even though they continue to do promotions selling it at the same price 3 months later. After I had reported the transaction with PayPal they sent another email to me outside of paypal saying that they would be willing to accept my original request, which was to exchange the item for another color, “under the condition the axis (their resistance bands) is in perfect and re-saleable condition.”They have also started to send emails asking you to write a review on their website in exchange for a digital gift card. Which is probably why they have (120) 5 star reviews, (2) 4 star reviews, and (0) reviews less than 4 stars. I will definitely be leaving the same 1 star review on their website but I doubt it will be posted because of this companies highly unethical business practices.
Physically and Mentally Stronger

Before Covid I was religious going to class 5 times a week. When the world shut down Justin and team didn't, I took their online classes which they found ways for us to workout with just our body weight and no machine. Thank god the rower came out a few months after Covid hit, I bought it right away so I could continue my classes just like I had been doing in the studio. I would take classes every day and even better, I could do it whenever I wanted. Which I still do when I cant make it into the studio. It's not just a workout it's a lifestle and the instructors are all so motivating and inspiring. When I'm finished with my workout I'm physically exhausted and mentally stronger. It's a full mind and body experience. Thank you Lit Method!
Minor fixes and improvements.
