App is 90% useless

Want to pay your bill? Great!

Want to see service details, plan options, or report an outage via. the app on your phone? Too bad. There is no details and nothing to do other than pay bills with this app. It shouldn’t be called “My Astound” but “pay Astound bills”

Misleading Services

Astound representatives lie to you to get you to sign up for a “deal”. Then you get no documentation confirming the deal that you can reference for the future. I was told to sign up for their internet service when looking for a provider at my new apartment. The rep offered me $30/month and said as long as I enabled the autopay feature it would take $10 off every month to be roughly $30. What they don’t tell you is that every month they change the amount you’re charged for “taxes, surcharges, and fees” with no breakdown or indication of what these are and why they change all the time. So even if your services are $30, they can change the fees at their own leisure whenever to charge you whatever they want. Then you call and email over and over and your original rep will hide from you and never answer the phone but leave unhelpful voicemails saying it’s “the fees”. My bill is different every month with no explanation why.

Deceptive practice and unfair charges - Avoid This Company!

I highly advise against using this company for your internet and mobile service. I initially signed up with the promise of paying only 20$ per month for internet, but over time, the charges kept increasing. First, the price went up to 45$ per month, and then to 50$ a month, without any prior notice or explanation. This is nothing short of deception. To make matters worse, when I experienced a service interruption, they disconnected my mobile phone and tried to charge me an additional 40$ just to restore it. This company is taking advantage of its customers, changing prices without consent, and imposing unfair charges. These practices are dishonest and exploring. And I strongly believe they should be investigated. They deceive people to sign up and then hit them with hidden fees and price hikes. I will advise people to avoid this company.
