Useless

What is the point in using this app? I have used many apps from different utilities and this one is by far the worst. Apps are meant to improve the experience of the user by making it easier than doing an alternative action (i.e. google maps app is easier than using the google maps website on mobile) and this is true for most apps. However this app somehow make the user experience worse. I will stick to using the mobile website since it’s far most useful than this thing. No energy usage statistics, hard/difficult to sign in without the account number(why can’t you just use the login like the website), it’s not easier to pay your bill, and you can’t make edits to your account. I wish I could give this app less than 1 star.

Developer Response ,

Hi berto7500, thank you for your constructive feedback and providing specific examples about what you expect from a mobile app experience. We know how important it is to sign in and view your account to make for an easier payment experience which is why our team is actively building that as we speak. We are getting close to being development complete and are eager to push this out to you all as an app update in the upcoming months. Please continue to share feedback as the voice of customer is so important to our team and our process. Thank you!

Awful App

I can’t view past bills. I can’t view usage history. I can’t even view my currently bill. It’s cumbersome to log in. When I sign in using my account I am immediately asked to enter my name and email again. What’s the point of logging in? Because you have saved my payment info? Except even then I’m not actually logged into my NationalGrid account, just logged into a SpeedPay payment portal. So SpeedPay has my payment info saved. I have to go to my email to see my bill and then come back to this app and enter the payment amount. Apps are supposed to improve efficiency. This app reduces efficiency. Devs, please use any cable/internet app or the PSEG or LADWP apps to see how an app of this nature is supposed to function.

App is horrible!

This is the worst app ever!! You can’t see your bill or even know your usage which with the new outside meters we’re supposed to. I have to go into my bill in email, find my account number (despite creating an account in the app) and how much I owe to know what I am paying in the app. And despite saving my bank info I have to re-enter it each month. Where is this easier?? It’s NOT! I’m back to calling in my pyt each mth when I get the email notification my bill is due- which by the way was late last month and you stuck me with a late fee which wasn’t my fault. I’m over it. Useless app!

Developer Response ,

Hello ArisUma, thank you for taking the time to leave a review and provide more details around what you would hope to see in the National Grid app. The good news is that our next couple of planned releases will include most of the things you outlined in your review. Thank you for your patience while the team completes the development work, and I am eager to see if the future updates start to make it easier to engage with National Grid!
