Description
Want a free, powerful password manager? Norton Password Manager is a single solution to help manage your unique passwords in multiple ways. Memorizing complex passwords with symbols, numbers, capital letters, and more, is difficult but using strong passwords is important to help keep your personal information secure. With Norton Password Manager, your information is encrypted, helping keep it secure, yet still available across your devices so you can access it anywhere. Best of all, it’s free!*
Why Norton Password Manager
• Passwords filled in a single tap
When you log in to websites and apps, it’s a smoother, quicker, and more convenient experience. Your passwords are stored in an online vault, which can be used to auto fill online login information with a single tap.¹
• Encrypted
With zero knowledge encryption and two-factor authentication, only you control access to your password vault–not even Norton can access it. These security measures help keep your data safer from cybercriminals and hacking attempts.
• Free*
Norton Password Manager is free and accessible to anyone and works on devices including computers, tablets, and phones.
• Sync passwords¹
Your entire password vault can be synced and accessed across your devices. Your logins and credit card credentials can be auto filled.
• Biometric unlock²
There’s no need to even type in your vault password. Access your vault faster or recover your vault password³ using Apple’s Touch ID® or Face ID®.
• Password Assessment
Check if your passwords are strong and easily create new passwords or change weak passwords to strong ones that are more difficult to crack.
Your information stays private even from us because it’s encrypted using zero-knowledge encryption before being stored in your cloud-based vault. Your passwords and other personal information can be even more secure by enabling two-factor authentication, plus you can use Apple’s Touch ID® or Face ID® so you can access your vault even faster.
Creating and remembering complex passwords doesn’t have to be difficult. Norton Password Manager helps you safeguard your personal information by making recommendations to strengthen passwords, adding more security to your online, digital life.
* With the free version of Norton Password Manager, we reserve the right to limit the number of entries (like passwords) at any time. This limitation won’t affect any existing entries in your vault.
¹ Requires your device to have an Internet/data plan and be turned on.
² Only available on iOS devices with Fingerprint Authentication or Touch ID/Face ID activated.
³ Vault Password Reset can only be initiated on an iOS smartphone. To work, your smartphone must have the Norton Password Manager mobile app installed, set up, and connected to your Norton account, plus the Biometric Authentication (fingerprint, or Touch ID/Face ID) activated, beforehand.

User friendly and awesome features
I really like the Norton Password Vault. Not only can you store passwords, but also addresses and it has a wallet section for your cards, online banking and apps such as cash app and Venmo. You can make notes and generate strong passwords that are automatically saved and add another layer of protection by clicking the toggle switch that activates the need for the vault password to access a certain app or profile password. You can also select sign me in automatically for each individual website, which is super convenient. The password manager section on your safety dashboard tells you how strong your passwords are or how many times you’ve duplicated that password, how long ago you changed the password for each site. It has an option to auto change it right there. You get an overall score on your ability to create strong, safe passwords. When you generate a password, you can edit it, and make it longer or smaller and it tells you the odds of someone being able to figure out your password. My only complaint would be, you know cause we have to have at least one complaint lol I noticed it doesn’t always update the password if you have to change it, so I get stuck because it tries to enter and old password. There may be a way to fix this that I’m not seeing but that would be the only thing I dislike.
Dependable and Universal, with Room for Improvement
Norton Password Manager has proven to be a reliable and indispensable tool in managing my digital life. It provides robust security features and the convenience of cross-platform access, making it an ideal choice for anyone seeking a comprehensive password management solution. I greatly appreciate its cost-effectiveness - it’s free, a rarity for a service of this caliber. The ability to synchronize passwords across all my devices has been a game-changer, offering seamless access to my accounts no matter where I am or what device I’m using. However, the user experience could benefit from a few tweaks. The recurring authorization alerts, particularly on the mobile platform, can be a bit intrusive. Each time I open the browser, it prompts for approval - an extra step that interrupts the browsing experience. While I understand and respect the importance of security, I would appreciate an option to adjust the frequency of these prompts. Despite this minor gripe, I remain highly satisfied with Norton Password Manager. It strikes a commendable balance between security and convenience, and with some fine-tuning, it could easily become the gold standard of password management. It’s a well-crafted tool that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others seeking a reliable password manager.
LOVE this app.
This is a great cross platform password manager. I've seen some of the bad reviews and I find them unfounded: 1. "The pass word won't paste" - that is a function of some websites, for security they block a direct paste to the password field so you have to jump through hoops to get it pasted. I fail to see how is this an app issue. 2. "Locked myself out of the vault" - what are the specific circumstances? Are you attempting to reopen from the same account and the same credentials? I don't work for Symantec but I have been using the Norton vault on a daily basis for about 5 years and have hundreds of passwords there. I use it both on my Windows and iOS devices and I could not live without it. I have seen other password vaults and they don't seem any better or worse to me, just different. I love all the features including the password gen, sure some things could be better and some other features could be welcome but I highly recommend this app., especially since is free if you already use Norton in other platforms.
