Who is Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing?
Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing manages (or “services”) mortgage loans after mortgage lenders originate them. On behalf of lenders and investor clients, Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing accepts and processes mortgage payments from more than 1.7 million homeowners nationwide. In recent years the company has grown to become America’s 5th-largest non-bank mortgage servicer, with over 2,500 employees based out of offices in Florida, South Carolina, Texas, and Arizona.
So this Loan Servicing app is pretty good surprise I haven’t had any problems with it, but I’ve only been with it for one month now .I used to make my payments to SSL, which supposedly is the exact same company as Shellpoint. They just change their name who knows why but when you go into payment history, none of my past payment show - now you would think that if it’s the same company, but they change their name, they would be able to have merged those records so it makes me think that maybe there’s something like … I don’t know maybe a bankruptcy and so they had to change their name to continue doing business with the same clients, I don’t really know??? Interesting 🤔
Outsourced, unethical REIT Private Equity ‘debt collector’ doesn’t care

Company changed. This company cannot handle customer service at all well. Why? Because they treat us like 2nd-class pawned-off people, not organically & honestly obtained customers who love their homes. Horribly unethical pushing for refinancing & outsourced employees that cannot listen nor follow up with you when you need them. They play with escrow, borderline illegally, as if it’s their little REIT float investment piggy bank - probably their little PE slush fund. They cannot address me & my partner by name. I probably wouldn’t be able to understand the overseas outsourced accent anyways. They obviously can’t invest in US-based jobs to collect a debt. Yes, we know you have MY debt… Do I want to be with you for much longer, let alone decades? Absolutely no way that’s happening. I would NEVER recommend this company who is monetarily controlled & steered by evil private equity & institutional investors trying to take over the American homeownership dream. Stayaway or getaway as soon as you can.This unethical REIT is NOT operating out of SC like when the REAL company first got my mortgage. They are overseas outsourcers & US job takers & nothing but peddlers pocketing our lives when we needed someone to trust.

Most of these mortgage companies or servicing companies have an app that is no more than viewing your statement and useless. Shell point makes it so easy to manage everything you need related to your mortgage. Thanks so much for making life easier!
When Paying on Time Still Gets You Punished

I’m very disappointed with how Shellpoint handles payments and customer service. I sent a $2,584 refund check clearly marked “insurance refund,” but they applied it to my monthly mortgage payment instead of escrow. That mistake caused my escrow payment to go up for no reason.When I called to fix it, the representative confirmed that the transfer to escrow isn’t automatic—I had to request it manually over the phone. Even though I always pay on time, they still sent a “spill debt disclosure” notice, which felt unnecessary, unfair, and frustrating. The whole process wasted my time and showed that they don’t value timely-paying customers or accuracy in account handling.
We are introducing new improvements to make it easier to manage your mortgage and account information inside the app.
This release includes an enhanced HELOC experience that allows eligible users to access their funds directly in the app.
As always, we’ve made additional performance improvements and bug fixes to keep everything running smoothly.
