I am busy. My hours change on the fly almost daily. If I think I work the next day at noon, book for 10am, and then find out late the night before I need to be at work at 8am… it’s a simple clicks and I’m rescheduled for the next time I think I’m free. No more walking in and waiting for however long to be seen. Being able to schedule an appointment with an app hasn’t been magic for a decade now… being able to reschedule multiple times without a charge… and being able to show up, walk-in, and sit down for a cut is unprecedented in my book.SWFL crew, check out Nelo(Daniel) at Downtown Barber in Fort Myers. It’s the best application for me to see my barber’s availability on selected days, see other barbers days and times if my barber isn’t available, select the type of haircut I want, customize the tip, and most importantly it’s a cashless transaction! It’s safer for the shop because the barbers have little to no cash in hand on the property, they know exactly how to manage their day, and it guarantees that they don’t mistakenly “double book” or forget to block out my time!

I don’t mind getting push notifications to remind me of my haircut, or that the appointment was changed or cancelled. What I don’t like is the app using that same notification channel to shoot me ads for the barber shop I already frequent. I don’t need to know that the barber shop I already go to is now open on Sundays, and I certainly don’t need to be notified at the buttcrack of dawn. And so I should be able to disable these irrelevant “you’ve received a message from the barber” notifications but it appears that isn’t possible in the limited notifications settings screen. Either the barber shop is abusing the app/service or this is intended by the developer, either way it makes me want to stop using the app and stop visiting this shop.

I have been a client for two years. About a month ago the app decided to make an update. The update created issues with notifying clients of their appointments, a service that is paid for, and they left out area codes from where I live, so my clients could not make their appointments with their phone numbers. They had to use area codes from other States to be able to. I am extremely disappointed with their customer service. I notified this issue a month ago an nothing has been resolved. If I don’t contact them, no one contacts me. I’ve lost a significant amount of business and income due to this issue that has yet to be resolved.
