The Laundry BOSS 4+

Pros:
-Easily connects to machines (at my laundromat at least).
-Adding payments and paying itself is easy.
-QR Code/camera function works well
-Can sign up with just a phone number and login with a short pin.
-Haven’t tried it, but you can add machines to yo ur cart and pay for all of them at once when ready.

Cons:
-No dedicated tab for your machine timers. It’s hidden under your profile tab for some reason.
-Not up to date, absent developer team (TWO YEARS!!!).
-Rewards program needs to be stated in app on “how to earn” rewards. It seems a lot of people have trouble with earning rewards in general or cash back. I mean it does say you earn it through scanning, but I haven’t gotten any rewards with my second use.
-The sign-in interface is not really user friendly. I was able to figure it out, but having that awkward “sign up” bar on the right is jarring. Just put “sign up“ on the bottom of the login like all other apps.
-There’s a notification option (I’m assuming for your machines?) but I don’t think it’s clear what it’s for?

Overall if you use a smartphone and don’t carry change, use this. It’s just very outdated and needs some attention from the developers in order to make it better, yet it’s less clunky to use change.

I absolutely love the convenience of this app BUT I don’t gain any rewards and I’ve been using it for a couple of months now and there have been several times I used this to start a machine and THE MACHINE DIDN’T START! And I assumed maybe they’ll just have the charges pending but will only deduct for the amount when the machine ACTUALLY started, but NOPE they charged my card for EVERY SINGLE TIME! I didn’t think it was a big deal the first two times but when I went to check my bank statements, that’s when I noticed that it did charge my account for each time, even when the machine didn’t start

I love this app. I am not always able to get quarters when needed and enjoy the added convenience of using my credit card. Works like a charm for me. I don’t understand the problems others are having. I also received my loyalty reward of $2.75 as promised immediately after first use. I have yet to see any reward pints for use just yet and the app could be clearer if it’s awarded daily, monthly, or yearly. Another customer showed me her rewards and she accumulated a lot so I know it works. We’ll see. I use this app about once a week to do 1 super duper load so I don’t expect to see a lot. I added my credit card while on home secure WiFi and haven’t had any problems selecting it and paying. Overall I’ve been very happy and will continue to use it.
