Description

This app provides access to ALL your Teaching Textbooks (TT) Geometry course materials on a Macintosh! Enrollment in the TT Geometry course is required.

The Teaching Textbooks Geometry app makes your TT course even better! Not only will your student enjoy math while learning independently, but, with the app, that learning can also take place on the go. Even when offline! Specifically, the app can be used offline for up to 6 lessons at a time. That makes it perfect for homeschool parents who need their kids to stay productive while the family is out and about during the day.
The app’s other features include…
• 110 audiovisual lectures that teach every core concept in the standard 10th grade curriculum
• thousands of problems that give students all the practice they need to master each concept
• automated grading and instant feedback for every single problem
• step-by-step audiovisual explanations to every single problem so students can see exactly what they did wrong when mistakes are made (This makes the program feel as if a tutor is at the student’s side!)
• parental controls that let you track your student’s progress
• the digitized version of the printed Teaching Textbooks Geometry textbook (with a search feature and a hyper-linked index)
• no advertising or in-app purchase offers
• Internet connectivity is required, but you can remain offline for up to 6 lessons.

Please make a way to mute the instructor in the hints/problems (on computer as well)

As a student, I have to say that Teaching Textbooks is very good at keeping the knowledge of the subject in my head. A lot of things I’ll just forget, but I believe that I’ve gotten better at math/algebra/geometry since trying out Teaching Textbooks. The one thing, as of right now, that I would appreciate if it were changed, would be a way to mute the reading of the hints/problems without having to mute the device sound, instead of the instructor reading them out to you. You see, I’m a very fast reader, so I’m reading faster than he’s talking, and it messes up my reading of the problem/hint. I also enjoy listening to instrumental music while doing my math, so I can’t just turn the sound off on my device. I know that, at least on the computer version, you can skip to the end of the instructor reading out the problem, so you don’t have to listen to it, but not with the hints. I haven’t used the mobile version for very long, so I’m not positive if there is a way to skip that part, but I know that there’s not on computer. If there is a way on mobile that I haven’t found yet, then I suppose you could just fix it on the computer version. This would make the app so much easier to deal with for me. If you read this whole thing, thank you so much, even if you don’t decide to change it. That’s the one thing that I find difficult with it, so overall, very good job to you creators!

Getting there

I appreciate the addition of an iOS app, but it needs some updates before it works well on an iPad. Please add external keyboard support such as for a Bluetooth keyboard, the onscreen keyboard is really clunky and not helpful to use. I am not a fan of the stickers but I see how some people would enjoy them. I do appreciate that there is a way to turn them off though. I am still waiting for proof mode, however you have said that is coming soon so I’ll wait for it. Overall I am happy to be able to do math on my iPad, but the app could use some improvements to work smoother with iOS.

Always love TT

Teaching Textbooks has been our go to for math for the past 5 years. I like that I can access the APP from various computers and the info is synced. Although some users may not like that the questions are read out loud, my kids have never minded, and I believe this feature helps engage students and also helps dyslexic students. (Of course, one could always turn down the volume if they didn’t like the audio.) We’re very satisfied with the TT Geometry App, and all of the TT Apps.
