The Unitron Remote Plus app is a remote control for your hearing aids and so much more, giving you multiple options to personalize your hearing aids. Temporarily boost speech or listening comfort while in the automatic program**. Add customizable manual programs directly in the app**. Adjust how your hearing aids sound using an equalizer*. Receive timely notifications that help you learn how to use and care for your hearing aids. Send feedback directly to your hearing care professional, so they can personalize your devices at the next visit.

The Remote Plus app allows you to:
- Control volume
- Change programs
- Mute and unmute
- Personalize the sound of your hearing aids using a 3-band equalizer *
- Receive remote adjustments sent from your hearing health care provider through Remote adjust*
- Choose up to 6 pre-set manual programs that can be added and customized directly through the app**
- Customize manual programs with Reduce Noise, Enhance Speech, and Focus Mic controls**
- Temporarily boost speech or listening comfort while in the automatic program**
- Receive coach notifications on how to care for and maintain your hearing aids
- Submit ratings on your hearing aid experience
- Watch how-to videos
- Adjust the balance between streamed signals and amplified sounds
- Adjust tinnitus masker
- Access status information such as battery charge status and wearing time

The Remote Plus app is compatible with Unitron hearing aids with Bluetooth connectivity.

Irritating

The Unitron app tries to offer a lot of extras but it fails to do this because of irritating tendencies. The biggest drawback to this app is it’s built-in disconnect after about 2 minutes of no activity when a big box appears to tell you that you have been disconnected to save battery life. It makes sense but it is overkill. Perhaps every 5 minutes would be better or make it somewhat user defined. Also, due the way it connects the reconnection process is slow and sometimes it will fail to connect at least one aid so then you have to restart the app. Increments for the slider on the equalizer don’t seem to do much and are not tactile defined. Too much like the tendencies of the Phonak app. When undecided on whether to keep the aids for good this can be a deciding factor.

Mute Button Problem. We Need A Fix ASAP

When using the Unitron Moxi Blu hearing aids connected to an iPhone 12 Max - iOS16, the hearing aids do not mute when you press the Mute button on the App even though the line appears through the icon when the button is pressed. This problem occurs when in Automatic Mode or when using the TV Connector V2. When pressing the Mute button the colors on the iPhone screen react to the press, the line appears through the audio button but the audio sound does not mute which is most especially problematic when using the TV Connector (which otherwise works great.) If someone wants to talk to you but the TV audio is still coming through the hearing aids loud and clear, this makes conversation with those you’re sitting with impossible since pressing the Mute button does not mute the tv sound no matter how many times you press it. Please update the app and fix immediately or help now with a simple quick workaround while you are figuring out how to make the Mute button actually function properly the way it was intended.

Thank you for your feedback. You will notice that we have recently released an updated version of the app. You are correct, every time you open the app the hearing aids do have to reconnect. This is intentionally done to preserve the battery life of the hearing aids. We will take your feedback into consideration in future versions of the app.

Broken functions

This app needs to be updated again. Half the time it won’t connect to both of my devices and I have to forget and repair. Sometimes the volume doesn’t work or I will mute and it automatically unmutes after a few seconds. There’s a lot the could be done to make this a great thing to have with your hearing devices. But it just falls short in functionality.
