When you download and register ZipBy on your phone you can drive in and out of any ZipBy enable car park without needing a ticket. If payment is required it automatically charges your credit card when you exit the car park.

Getting rid of this app - doesn’t work well

I am about to delete this app after months of use because the frustrations aren’t worth it. First, I have gotten trapped in my office parking garage twice and each time had to pay separately to get out. In one case, I am still waiting to get a refund for the double charge even though customer service assured me they would take care of it. Second, the app also behaves in very strange ways, such as periodically, converting to what appears to be Vietnamese - when I have never selected language preferences. Third, I don’t understand why use of the app requires that location identification always be on, when it’s not relevant to my use of the app that selected locations. Finally, the app advertises, but it saves money – but without notice it converted to charging me the full daily rate in my office, garage, when it used to be discounted. Why should I have to deal with all the above frustrations if it’s not actually saving me money?

Update:
Would love the developers to explain why they have to have constant access to my location if they don’t track it? Apparently the app pinged my location in the background 69 times in a three day period last week. I only used it to park one of those days.

We have been listening to you all, and making positive updated to our app. Location is required so you are able to locate the parking Facilities/ Areas/ Zones and Lots using the FIND US icon in your ZipBy App. The FIND US Icon will, within an average of 1km radius, bring up any Facilities/ Areas/ Zones and Lots that have this enabled for their sites, making it easier to locate and pay for your parking. If your local Parking Facilities/ Areas/ Zones or Lots are not visible in the FIND US Icon, please let either them or us know so they can enable this feature for their site. We are pleased to announce that we have just released a NEW Version of ZipBy App – this is a much simpler and easy to use version – We have handed all the control back over to you to access a gated carpark who uses ZipBy, all you need to do is Press the OPEN GATE button when you are in the lane you wish to enter – When needing to park in a ZONED Area just press the ENTER ZONE CODE and enter the parking details you require. @ZipBy @ZipByWorld

Worst App Ever

Unfortunately, the parking garage at my office requires the use of this terrible App for all monthly parkers. Joyce Parking in Annapolis ditched the old parking passes for an app that only works about 30% of the time. I’ve been hearing for a year that it will get better.
The app requires location tracking all of the time. WHY???? I do not want this.
Therefore, every time I use the app I go into settings to turn this feature on/off. There is absolutely NO reason for them to have location tracking on beyond when I am actually using it to get in and out of the garage.

Awful

I should have been forewarned by the bad reviews and listened to them. I downloaded this app to use in a parking garage and then validated my parking. Upon exiting the arm would not move and we had to get the attendant to come out and get us out of the garage. The meter on my garage usage is still running! I have called customer service, which is nothing but a voicemail. And I have sent an email. If you have not downloaded this app do not bother.
