The 2 Ace store locations that I frequently use (Paul’s Valley & Purcell), both have great varieties in their chainsaw dept. Little did I know, the Purcell store has an entire separate “showroom” in the store where they have a very large Stihl display. It’s pretty impressive, being that Ace is primarily used by homeowners and DIY’ers. The service technicians at this location seem to know more than your average customer service rep. when it comes to needing help buying, repairing, answering questions or getting information about a chainsaw. I have even started using their dept for minor repairs and tune ups when I don’t have the time. If you don’t need the repair done super fast and have a back-up saw, I recommend the Purcell Ace Hardware for repairs. I was hesitant initially, but have they’ve earned my trust and respect in doing repairs. They’ve got a pretty good mechanic on staff that can get it done good and much less expensive than taking it to a landscaping & outdoor specialty shop. Sometimes it’s seemed less expensive to just buy a new saw vs. having one repaired, when going to one of those places for repairs. I’m grateful to know that I can trust these guys to handle things like this without breaking the bank. I give both of these stores a👍🏽, but Purcell gets 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 due to their extensiveness in regard to Stihl equipment. Keep up the great work guys!

Cobb's corner Canton, MA... to whom it may concern. I most recently lost my dear Mom. I, her only daughter, caretaker. Have been going through an awful time as ONE can imagine cleaning out. I had two items one cocktail table and one a chair that needed HARDWARE. I stopped in on two separate occasions and had the honor of having Joe. at that location. assist me with restoring my mom's chair and her cocktail table. He took the time out of his busy day and put the legs together with the hardware I needed on both items. I was blessed to meet him that day. He was very warm and friendly. He helped me through a horrible task and did it with a smile. Won't you please as a company show him a kindness?? Maybe a raise or at least address that he is a valued employee of your company. I will never forget what he did for my family and helping me restore these two items… I live in Braintree and my late lived in Canton Mass right down the street I lost 2/2 of my heart this past March my dear mother and my of eight years… I love Ace Hardware and I will go here for all my needs and I will send people here because of Joe. The most recent update (v3.1.3) crashes much more frequently on my iPhoneSE (2020–fully updated to iOS 17.5.1) than any prior version. If I open the app and tap the search bar, I MIGHT be able to type a few letters before the app crashes. If I do manage to get the search to behave, it often crashes if I search my custom phrase and don’t use one of the suggested phrases/search terms that appears. Occasionally the app crashes for me immediately after it starts to load. If I am able to search (usually means opening the app, going to another app and then coming back to the Ace app), attempting to choose/switch stores is also fairly slow, taking several seconds just to load the button to perform the action.However, when the app gets over the crashing fits, it is great! Search produces clean results, you can filter by in-stock items at your nearby stores, item preview images are fluid, and all the necessary information is available on the item pages without opening 10 other links to view documents. The only improvement I can think of off-hand would be a “quick add” button on the search results to immediately add an item to your cart so you don’t have to open the item page to do it, especially if you want/need multiple types of a similar item like spray paints or adhesives or a weed eater and some extra string.

First of all, I run a home building and remodeling department of a construction company in a high end area. We work on everything from small bathroom remodels up to multi million dollar house builds. We are not near any of the big box stores so we rely on Ace for finding hardware, tools, and other supplies. Having the ace app, is like having someone on the inside who knows the inventory of all six local Ace Hardware stores. I know exactly where to go and what I will find at each one of them before I even leave the job site and drive up to 45 minutes. That way I don’t waste a lot of time. It is nearly perfect.However: here are the following seemingly easy to implement improvements that would make my life so much easier.1. Once I search for an item, it would be great to know which local stores (there are six within 30 miles) carry that particular item. I should not have to click and change ”my store” to find this information. 2. it would be super handy to be able to share an exact item via text, WhatsApp, messages, etc. with coworkers directly from the app (by using that little box with the up like so many other online sales websites) without doing a screenshot. This would allow me to send items to coworkers and save me the hassle of explaining it or sending a screenshot screenshot, which does not provide all of the information on that item.Thank you for paying attention and attempting to implement these to suggestions to become the best hardware supplier in my area!
