When my online account get locked after failed password attempts, I went to the Emirates Islamic branch, who by the way were very helpful and kind. They inform me to re download the updated app emirates 2.0. After downloading the app and start using it, I discovered how unhelpful was. It’s not organized or clear! The online chart in the app is really bad! Unlike the previous app, including the fonts, colors and styles. Once logged in to the app, it takes to long to see debit/credit card balance, transactions amount. All the rows where the amounts have to be mentioned are empty. I’m transactions you can see the merchant name but without the amounts (empty, loading). It’s not convenient at all. Customer has to be able to open the app and quickly check the balance, transactions, statement. It took approx 10 mins to load the balance on my cards. Yesterday was the same. The old app was perfect and very efficient, quick and easy to use. I didn’t try to perform any transaction via this app yet, except Du mobile payment. I assume that I might have some difficulties as well, based on other customers feedback.
I didn’t hear any positive feedback from anyone about the new app for a past 2 months. I’m surprised that till now, bank didn’t take any actions to improve the app or switch back to the old one. I’ve been a customer of EI bank for a 3 years; first time I am very dissatisfied because of online banking.

I prefer the old application of EIB. I have chosen this bank because of its great mobile app but unfortunately, the new one is terrible. Every time I check my CC transactions, there are entries appearing dated January 2100 and almost zeroed my account balance. And this is not matching with the sms transactions I am receiving. What is that?!? Also, whenever I made any request through this 2.0 app, it is always error. Lots of options which are not working yet but already shown in the app. You make it complicated but not useful at all. That is why I like the old one more, it is simple and direct to whatever you needed. I hope you improve this especially the real time update of each transactions as I experienced many times that the sms and this app is sharing different information. Overall, i am really dissatisfied. If there is an option to use the old app, I hope we can return back🙏
