No way to contact the bank
There are problems that might happen while being away from the country (UAE) and if this happens then you are cursed if this is your bank!
You have only one way to contact the bank which is through the international paid calls to the only number for NBD on which EVA answers (the virtual assistant) and after spending money on so many tries to call EVA I couldn’t even complete with her the first step of choosing the language because she is NOT RESPONDING to typing the number of the language or saying it or whatever! And then she hangs up the call saying that I am not responding to her!!!!! That is super frustrating and no EMAIL address that they respond to or any other way to contact the bank than the NOT RESPONDING EVA!!!!!
I sent my friend who is in UAE now to the bank to let me talk to them through a call to his phone and they refuse! They say I can talk to them only by EVA!!! I ask any email address that they can answer they refuse and tell me yo call EVA, I ask him to make a complaint they say that is possible only through EVA!!!!!!
Soooooooo frustrated and now I’m outside the country and my online banking which I need urgently is blocked and can not contact them!!!!
I will change the bank and always say this story to all people around me for them to be careful from this bank!!!
Wrong Bank Destination
I have made my very first online bank transfer using the mobile app under the direct remit services. After I made the transaction, I received a congratulatory note for successful transaction to which I checked the details e.g. beneficiary name, account no. and Bank Name which were all correct and it mentions I will receive further final confirmation through email for successful transfer. When I finally received an email, the Recepient Bank Name mention in the Transfer e-advice is wrong and different. Im am very disappointed since this has caused the money not being received by the correct recipient bank, ultimately to my family. Now, I have sought the help of a bank agent and have informed me that the issue may get resolved in 5 days which is quite long considering the money is urgently required. This a very big inconvenience and I hope this will not happen again.
