I am absolutely hooked on my Fitbit! I bought the Charge 3 and I hate taking it off. I love the notifications it sends if I haven’t moved from my desk each hour, I love the fact you can challenge other friends and colleagues to weekend, or weekly challenges as well as track your own performance. It’s got me more motivated than any exercise book, or personal trainer. The only downside I find is that it’s not 100% accurate. My resting heart rate on an ECG machine compared to my Fitbit has a difference of 10 beats per minute...that’s a big number when you’re trying to work in fat burn mode or/and cardio. In addition, when I train with other people my steps are pretty much the same but when we e all walked a 12km walk (as we’ve done consistently this week), my Fitbit comes up with almost 2km less than the others! The only time it’s accurate is if I walk with my GPS on my phone and then sync the data after my walk/run. In addition the calorie counter has very limited good options and scanning them and sending them off is too time consuming. I find I’m using the “My Fitnesspal” app to monitor my food intake...please look at their app and try and make the Fitbit calorie counter more user friendly. Apologies for mentioning the bits that need “tweaking”, but it’s constructive feedback that I feel is important. All in all I am so chuffed that I have a Fitbit as its now become a way of life for me! Thank you to the Fitbit team of developers ☺️

As for your concern with heart rate tracking, please note that our Fitbit devices calculate steps differently from other machines. PurePulse LEDs (light-emitting diodes) on your Fitbit device reflect onto the skin to detect blood volume changes, and finely-tuned algorithms are applied to measure heart rate automatically and continuously. The heart-rate icon you see on the display tells you if you're in 1 of 3 heart-rate zones. It's also worth noting that if you're doing an activity where your wrist is moving vigorously and non-rhythmically, the movement may prevent the sensor from finding your heart rate. If this happens, try relaxing your wrist and staying still briefly (about 10 seconds), after which you should see an accurate heart rate reading. Satisfied overall, but room for improvement

I’ve been using Fit Bit with Charge 4, for almost 2 years. I pay for the premium version to have access to macro nutrient counting, the workouts and the mindfulness sessions. The reminders to move my body each hour is helpful. I absolutely love the sleep tracking aspect and comparing how I feel after a nights sleep (the app gives a numerical score based on sleep goals and how long you were in each sleep stage) I’m only giving 4 stars because there is room for improvement with this app and the data it analyzes and receives from the Charge 4. For example, while I’m sleeping it records my heart rate, you can view this within the sleep analysis data, however the Heart Rate section of the app will show a different set of data of my heart rate throughout the night. These often do not match up. The HR section will often say I had “zone minutes” (minutes of HR over 114 and cardio HR over 135) while I was sleeping. When compared to the data from sleep analysis on the same night, there was no spike in my heart rate. I find this annoying and take it with a grain of salt. It makes me somewhat doubt when I’m working out that I’m actually getting adequate zone minutes. Sometimes the app will randomly not record my sleep, even though I was wearing it correctly the whole night, just shows no data for sleep. I’ve gone through deleting the app, redownloading, resetting the Fit Bit and it doesn’t magically appear the sleep data, it just has a gap. There is the room for improvement.

I love my FitBit Smartwatch! I currently have the Charge 4. This is my 3rd Fitbit. I have been wearing a FitBit basically 24/7 for years. The only reason I upgraded to the Charge 4 a couple years ago was because I wanted the Sp02 feature, oxygen saturation. I only take it off when I shower or to charge it, although it is waterproof. A single charge lasts at least 7 - 10 days. It did from day 1 and still does. I purchased my husband the Fitbit Sense over a year ago. He likes it. It has a few extra features that mine doesn’t but he doesn’t use them and neither would I. What I wouldn’t like about his is it has to be charged four times as often as mine does. I was going to buy myself the latest Apple Watch for the oxygen reading at any time instead of only getting an average reading during sleep only, but after reading the reviews I am not sure that the Apple Watch doesn’t do the same when it comes to the oxygen saturation feature and the Apple Watch will not even stay charged for 24 hours. I will stick with FitBit, a great product for the money and I already know I love it. I just would like for them to get one that you can check your oxygen percentage any time, even when walking or exercising. You don’t need to buy the more expensive versions of FitBit unless you’re going to use the extra features. Plus like the Apple, though not as bad, the Sense doesn’t hold a charge too long. The only other negative thing with any of the FitBit watches is you have to buy the Premium subscription service if you want to use most of the features

In May of 2020. I was not feeling well. My wife and four children gave me a Fitbit for my birthday. Because I wasn’t feeling well, I didn’t think I would use it. I was hospitalized early in June with congestive heart failure. One thing led to the next and on June 19 I had open heart surgery to replace two heart valves, repair a third, and amputate an appendage on my left atrial. During my recovery, I was experiencing what they call atrial flutter. I noticed that my resting pulse was high, when nurses at my first rehab center, would take my vitals. I immediately called one of my daughters and asked her to charge up the Fitbit and bring it to me. At that point, I used it to watch my heart rate and all the other functions that the Fitbit can monitor. I ended up going back into the hospital so they could straighten things out. My resting pulse immediately began to drop once they performed a couple procedures on me. Prior to those procedures, my resting pulse was about 120 bpm. Today, it has decreased to the point where it’s between 56-58 bpm! I use the Fitbit to track my walking, exercise, sleep quality and other health metrics that have really helped me in my cardiac rehab! It’s an outstanding health and wellness device that I would recommend to everyone, from people getting back on their feet to those who are reaching for personal athletic bests - and everyone in between. My doctors saved my life—now I feel confident that I can continue to improve my heart health with my FitBit! Thank you for this wonderful product!
