Ridiculous update of app!

What on earth have you done with the app update? Perfectly fine before, now I cannot even log on - it only gives me options to open an account (really.), to REGISTER my cards (which were already registered for internet banking and to the app), or to link my device (ALREADY LINKED)! How on earth do I pay my accounts today 😡- banks closed tomorrow!! My landlord will NOT “”understand”. Useless! Zero stars 😡

What on earth have you done with the app update? Perfectly fine before, now I cannot even log on - it only gives me options to open an account (really.), to REGISTER my cards (which were already registered for internet banking and to the app), or to link my device (ALREADY LINKED)! 1. Your new logo looks budget and you could of (read ‘should of’) let your customers know before you changed it.2. All of a sudden references are no longer valid while they worked before the new app, what for?3. Look at FNB app and up your game.. give me easy access to savings, investments, new products, etc4. Really disappointed (not app specific) that Absa charges 20% interest on credit cards while giving 0.20% (yes 0.2%) on positive accounts.. using clients money to make 19.8% returns seems a bit selfish...5. Also wish Absa would work ‘together’ with clients to say ‘hey, you got some cash, if you do x, y and z it can be more beneficial’.. ‘hey you’re spending 200 a month on an account but if you go pay as you use you would average 150 a month’, that sort of jazz.. with the amount of money you charge monthly you could really provide some insight as financial geniuses

I wish the transfer were different. Currently when you look at your balance (to see how much money is available) and you select “Transfer” the ‘From account’ should be populated with the account you are currently viewing, NOT the ‘To account’! Or all the accounts should be selectable from the dropdown lists, a bit of a nuisance!Other than that, the App is functional, little bit slow getting data, but overall this App is infinitely better than not having this App!

Hi Hanno C, Thank you for the positive feedback!Please take note that when you initiate a transfer from a savings, cheque or current account, the "From account" field will be pre-populated with the selected account. If a transfer was initiated from a credit card account, the "To Account" field is pre-populated with the credit card account as most people normally transfer money into their credit card accounts.

You took a perfectly good app and changed it into something that doesn’t work at all! I hope the same wasn’t done to the bank. Every time you change something in the app you get an error message or it says it can’t connect to the server. I wish I could get the old app back.
