I am 82 years old and have multiple Vanderbilt medical providers. I have not one complaint about the stellar medical treatment I experience with those providers. Except the process that I am forced to accept if I need to gain access to one of my providers via telephone. If a established patient has a medical question, especially from instructions given at a face to face appointment with my doctor, especially if it is a inquiry about a prescription for a med to be started the evening of the appointment that was not provided to a pharmacy….i should be able to contact my provider direct in a timely manner. But I am required to call multiple phone numbers to be able to alert my provider they failed to provide my local pharmacy with a prescription for the meds I was prescribed during my office appointment … earlier at at face to face appointment. Basically no access to a medical provider is a problem for a patient! I know doctors are very busy but so are my other providers such as bankers, plumbers, etc and they are available while the physician responsible for my health is multiple phone calls away!I still love my providers at Vanderbilt and I am willing to endure the frustration when I need to advise my care giver with a “gentle nudge” they forgot to send a prescription to my WALGREENS…that I was to start taking on the evening following my face to face appointment earlier in the day!

Hello my name is Ramona Barbara and I’m the one that takes care of Rodolfo Barbosa all in general 100% I have been learning little by little to use my health Vanderville Avenue and I love love love love it the more I use it but I have been noticing that a lot of the messages come written in Spanish and I do appreciate the fact that it’s bilingual and I’m bailing on myself but an actually I could understand why it’s written in Spanish because Rodolfo Barbosa English is very limited but what makes it more difficult for me is that I am the one that is teaching myself to use my health Vanderville to assist him in the best way that I can and there are times when I have a little bit of difficulty understanding certain medical terminology in Spanish so I’m thinking maybe there’s a possibility it could all be switched back to only English for one simple reason Rodolfo appreciates it when I’m able to read it to him but honestly at times I’m the one that does all the reading and all the work that needs to be done and if it needs to be translated to him in Spanish I try to do my best and doing so but again i’m asking if there’s a chance you could put it all in English even the messages that come in through appointment reminders half of them are set in Spanish and half of them are in English they used to be all in English and it made it so much easier to understand just plain simple English instead of a combination of both sometimes it makes it very difficult for me to understand the first time around thank you I appreciate any help you can give me in reference to this situation thank you again have a blessed day Ramona Barbosa

I’ve used the Myhealth App for around 12 years now and I can’t imagine being without it! I’m either using it constantly or using it only once or twice a week. If I’m having an issue like refilling my prescription or something else I feel confident about my providers getting in touch with me right awa, or their staff giving them the information they need to help me very quickly. I find myself using Myhealth knowing I’m going to get the help I need. I have multiple health issues and if i didn’t have Myhealth to use, and having confidence that I’ll receive the help I needed, I know I’d be so stressed and constantly in worse health than I am now. I’m positive that because I receive the best help and support through this app, that I’m doing so much better than if I didn’t have it. It’s just that simple, using the app has helped me so many times, that I know I’d be so much worse off than I am now.Thank you for making this app easy to use and the best tool in my health tool box!

This App does NOT let you find providers. All Departments and Providers should be accessible/searchable. If you are scheduled in someone’s calendar then you MUST be able to reach out to them. If you want to make an appointment or are being referred to a Department you should just open the APP and make the appointment not have to call in to leave a message to have someone call you at an inconvenient time to make an appointment. Another issue: Messages are sent in Messages then closed before I can reply and then I can’t reach out to them at all. If a message is sent to a patient we should be able to Reply back at anytime we want/can and hear back from that Department’s staff. This system is terrible. Not everyone works this way. Many patients are challenged with MyHealth at Vanderbilt’s non-user friendly platform. In this technologically savvy world the APP should not only be a source of communication but should tie into the form of communication we need. I know programmers can tie in encryption to phone texts instead of email as it has been done in many other secure platforms. Please submit this complaint to the people who need to see this in charge of the App programming.
