I am 58 years old and have never loved exercising, but I know how important it is, so I’ve tried lots of programs over the years to try to stay motivated. When my daughter asked me to do Tighter Together with her, I was nervous but also thought it would be fun to have an accountability partner. I was also nervous about being able to do all of the exercises because I have osteoporosis. I know how important strength training and weight bearing exercise is for my bones, but I was afraid TT wouId not be accessible for me since there are some exercises that are not compatible with osteoporosis. I was so pleasantly surprised! The alternative exercises always provided an option I could handle and I have seen such great results! I doubt if anyone starts a program like this with an expectation of strengthening their hands, but after CMC joint replacement surgery on both hands two years ago, I still had some weakness in my hands and wrists. I am so excited to say that I have noticed real improvement in my hands as well as my overall strength! And my clothes fit so much better :-) The encouragement from the entire Moves community is so refreshing. Everyone encourages each other and some days, that’s what I need when I’m tempted to skip a workout. It also didn’t hurt that my daughter and I shared our log results with each other and did not miss a workout! Truly excited to keep on going with the Moves app—-it’s really a stellar program!

As a physical therapist myself, people ask me “why would you need a workout app? Just do your own thing!” Frankly, I could. But my workout time is special time to me-I don’t want to have to put a lot of thought into it. I like to put on some good music and GO. This program hits all the marks. No matter how out of shape or how advanced you are, you can find a challenging workout. Have a chronic injury or specific weakness? Alternative moves are offered for many exercises. Low intensity, high intensity, low impact, plyometric, core work, prenatal workouts, progressive overload training…all there! It is apparent that a lot of thought went into the workouts. All the major muscle groups are covered in progressive strengthening workouts, all planes of movement are utilized, unilateral work is done to reveal any muscle imbalances, and care is taken to work on core and pelvic floor strengthening as well as accessory muscles that help with joint health and overall function. Warmups and cooldowns are also utilized. The app is extremely user friendly and a great way to track progress. The workouts can be done with exercise bands at home, but you will get the most out of this programming if you have access to some weights, even if you have to improvise a bit. Well worth the monthly subscription-honestly I’d pay more than they ask because there’s so much content! Highly recommend!!!

I have followed all the popular workout plans over the years - BBG, PWR, FBG, etc - and Madeline Moves easily tops them all. I started using Madeline’s programs 1.5 years ago after a TT challenge and never looked back. The value of this app is unmatched, for $20 a month you get 5 strength training workouts that are updated each week with warm ups specifically for the daily muscle group. The app has a video for every movement showing proper form which is immensely helpful to ensure that you’re doing the moves accurately to minimize risk of injury. There are also videos separately that go into how to active the deep core/pelvic floor that show progressively more difficult moves to work toward as you get stronger. The app also allows you to keep track of your weight used so you can refer back the next time you’re doing the move to continue to work towards progressive overload. Madeline does these workouts herself and most days she posts stories on her Instagram of her doing the workout with form tips which is highly motivating. In the 1.5 years I’ve been doing this program I have seen incredible changes not only in my body but in my strength, endurance, and confidence. Madeline focuses on functional fitness In her programming. I know that if I continue these workouts, I will age more gracefully. I genuinely look forward to doing these workouts every single day. I recommend this program to anyone who will listen! Cannot recommend enough.

The moves app is the most affordable and educational program out there! You get multiple programs, endless education, modifications for all exercises, and community. Madeline makes each workout easy to follow. Multiple modifications are available so that anyone can get the same results regardless of ability. There are 30minute and 60minute versions of each workout. Both are effective! The programs can be completed at home with minimal equipment or in a fully equipped gym. You don’t get this type of education on form and mind to muscle connection in a big class. This app is like having a one on one trainer while still having the moves app community for encouragement. I love that this program is supported by physical therapist and pelvic floor therapists. I feel confident that the workouts have purpose and that I can do them correctly because of who designed this and how the program is designed. I love that it’s one solid price. You don’t have to pay extra for any of the other programs in the app. Everyone has access to all the same tools within the app. Big classes charge 3-5x as much for a quarter of the education and workouts. Whether you are new to weight lifting or a seasoned lifter this program has something for you. I never liked weight lifting and didn’t know a thing about it until I started using the moves app and now I am confident in the gym and try to get everyone to join the app simply because I love it so much! It’s incredibly inclusive because as Madeline says “modify and go!” All it takes is consistency!
