As a member of the State Employee Credit Union, I love my state employee credit union. It has truly been a blessing to me and my family and my time of need they came through for me in abundance I’ve never seen or had a bank account with the bank that came through the way the state employee credit union came through for me and my family. I am so grateful that I am a part of a family, that’s in your time and need is there I also I voted and I voted for someone that brought Vance Granville Community College to be number one and I pray that everyone else voted. I know that I don’t have to tell who my vote was for, but I voted for Mrs. Stephanie Williams. She brought Vance Granville Community College to be the number one in all community colleges and I was so grateful to be a student at the time that she was in leadership there. Let’s continue to make our State Employee Credit Union GREAT. I would also love to see the credit union go back to what they had started to doing the taxes that was a benefit to every member.

Love SECU but very disappointed

Disappointing, there is no reason that the dev team couldn’t have had the app working and ready to go for the general public release of iOS 26. The “not being able to make it secure on the beta” excuse is very concerning seeing as that is what the beta and release candidate is for. Many teams were able to securely release their compatible app before the general release and some at the time of it but for being as big as SECU is this is sad. I love SECU which is why I’m not giving it a 1 star but at the same time many other options could have been done but seeing that they weren’t going to even start till after the final release from the dev responses in the reviews is very disappointing. It also was concerning that both times in the past few months when I tried to report the issues to the dev team via messages on the site and when I called, even though the people I spoke to was polite, I got told we are aware and will not relay the messages since we have no intention on the mobile app to work with the betas. Never have I not been able to report a bug that is big enough to cause an app to be unusable to a dev team, and again even though they were polite, never have I had a support person flat out refuse a simple request like that which is super wild.Update: today (4 days after public release) they released the update for iOS 26 and finally after months, I can use the app!

Love SECU but very disappointed

Disappointing, there is no reason that the dev team couldn’t have had the app working and ready to go for the general public release of iOS 26. Persistent Half Screen Problem

Losing half the screen and having to reload and reset the app happens consistently midway through each bill payment or transfer. If I'm fortunate, the transaction can be completed on the half screen before having to remove the app, then reload and reset. If I'm not fortunate, I have to start over and go through the reloading process, complete the transaction, and then again complete the reloading process to reset. I have sent numerous series of screen shots and descriptions of the problem to App feedback multiple times over the past few months. There has been no change or relief from the problem since upgrading to a new iPhone two months ago, or since the last update of the app which was supposedly addressing the problem. I see in reviews here that the problem has existed for others, as it has for me, for at least six months.I get courteous SECU responses from my reporting of the problem, including reporting exact date and time of occurrences as requested. These are reported as being sent to the developer, but there has been a total absence of feedback from the developer when I have inquired of progress toward resolution.This is a persistent and chronic shortcoming of the SECU app. I can't recommend SECU banking to my employees, or continue to stick with it indefinitely myself, until reasonable functionality is restored to the App.Has SECU considered a change in developers, or otherwise holding the existing developer accountable to a deadline for resolving the issue?

Still charging for return payments

It is so annoying that even nowadays, when we know that technology allows with a click to start, finish or complete any kind of transaction, my cooperative, as I am a member, will charge me for return payments, when my bank, which is private and a bigger institution that looks for every way to make money, does not charge me. Moving moneys depends on time, and with SECU we never can count with a reasonable time. I make a transaction today with my bank, this evening is all clear. I make a transaction with SECU, 5 days later I am charge by my credit card because SECU still don’t clear the transaction, and when the company charge extra and try to take the money again, SECU charge me for over draft. It is frustrating. There are some pros, that is why I don’t close my account yet, but the cons are so stupid to fix, but they just don’t see further that their nose to realize it and turn it into the best financial institution. Annoying
