BADU Connect Remote Pool Management System
In North America BADU Connect from SPECK Pumps gives you a convenient way to manage your Badu® SwimJet System & Pool*. It allows you to manage your SwimJet’s pump, lighting, or other accessories via the internet from anywhere in the world. Setup schedules, turn devices on or off at a moment's notice and even invite friends, or pool professionals to manage your devices too.
In Europe, the BADU Connect App enables access to variable speed pumps via BADU NetLink. The various pump speeds can be controlled manually using the BADU Connect app. In automatic mode, appropriate time programs can be set. This makes it easy to control the filter times without much time and effort. The best thing is that even pumps that have been already installed can also become smart.
BADU Connect App is FREE to use which makes it easy to access your pool from your smart devices.
In addition, BADU®Connect is also available via the Web. After successfully setting up and activating your account via your mobile device, you can conveniently control your pool equipment from a web browser from any device via the internet.

Why Link Your Pool Equipment to Your Smartphone?
Why in the world would you need an app to control your Badu® SwimJet* or pool pump at home? I mean, if you are at home, why not just walk out to the pool and check it out or turn it on yourself?
Handheld Convenience.
Let’s face it, most technological advances are in the name of convenience. We designed our phone app to make the jobs in your lives easier. An app linking your pool equipment to your phone allows you the convenience of ensuring your equipment is running smoothly from anywhere in the world. You have many options you can control at your fingertips. Including setting daily timers and, for the safety of your family, you can even disable or prevent the use of the swimjet* system by simply tapping a LOCK icon within the app.
Away on Vacation.
It’s nice to take vacations. It’s even nicer not to have to worry about your pool while you’re vacationing. Keeping your pool water moving in your pool is critical – and no one wants to return home from a relaxing vacation to deal with unfiltered pool water. On the flip side, no one wants to pay or trouble a neighbor to watch their pool, either. Smartphone devices help solve this problem. A connection between your pump and your smartphone can help eliminate those concerns.
*only available in North America.
It works, sort of. I can connect and turn it on and off with the app, and set a timer. That’s about it. I can’t change the speed, although the buttons are there that make it seem like I should be able to. The old version at least let me do that. I just feel like an app like this has so much potential to take my swim jet to the next level. Instead I feel like I’m using 2002 tech. I’m thrilled with my turbo pro jet! I’m just complaining about this app. I’d still get the jet even if there was no app. But if you’re going to put in the effort and build an app then update it and make it useful and add value for the user. The turbo pro is the best swim jet in the world. This app…not so much.
It’s OK, seems built by those who don’t use the products it’s designed for.

I have the turbo pro and it is connected to port one, as designed. Port two is four lights or accessory‘s, and it allows for scheduling which I would like to have on for port one. In the very description of this app it goes into detail about the importance of the circulation of the pool. Yet you don’t allow for the scheduling of port one? I would like to have this kick on for a period of time at night when my filtration is running peak capacity so that when I swim in the morning any loose particulate would have been filtered prior to me using my swim jet. My next complaint seems like an easy and quick fix, hopefully you can hit the edit button and modify this when you read it. You logged me out of my account like it’s a banking app. If I turn the pump on with my phone I have to log back in before the end of one session? Why is the security of my pump that important? I can see maybe a month, possibly a week. But I have to log back in multiple times a day and that seems pretty ridiculous. Lastly it does not connect to my ISP provided router. It’s a combo unit that may be the issue, so it does 2.4 and 5.0 and some kind of combined frequency. I have over 100 smart devices at my house and don’t have an issue with anything else connecting. I have to use a hotspot for connectivity until I can plug-in a separate router for the dedicated 2.4 signal just for my swim jet connectivity
Nice to have feature. App a bit rough

I had connection issues initially. Here are my suggestions to bump the app up:1. Remind users to hold the reset button on the side of the spec controller for 15 seconds if the controller is not flashing the little o2. The default ports 1 and 2 cannot be edited or removed. My pump is port 3 for some reason so those default ports are in the way. 3. Why does the app not show swimmer usage history4. I imagine most users only have one system. I would expand the app to show error codes , health and status, maintenance needs, etc to make the app more useful to the homeowner.
Developer Response
Thank you for your review and valuable suggestions. We are constantly working on improving our products and will take into consideration your feedback. The controller you have is typically packaged with our swimjet systems, and the pump for it should have been connected to port 1, we recommend consulting with your installer to correct it if it was not connected to port 1. Please feel free to contact us if you require any additional support. Thank you for being our customer.
Serious connection issues and no speed info
Jeremysfca
This thing constantly drops connection, and is so insanely buggy. Also, and trying to change the speed of the pump. It doesn’t tell me what level it’s at. Also, the timer on this thing makes no sense at all. It always resets to 2 hours.
