I recently started using SweatPal to find a local runners group, and it was such an easy and seamless experience! Within minutes, I found the QOL Health and Performance Running Group/Club, which meets close to home and runs on days that fit perfectly with my schedule.Today, I booked my first run and met some of the amazing crew. The experience was absolutely fantastic—everyone was welcoming, professional, and super encouraging. It felt so comforting to be part of a group that shares the same goals and passion for fitness. I think this app has a lot of potential and I love the concept. I’ve found really fun events to join, and the app performance has definitely gotten better. Some areas of improvement that would make it a lot better: 1) the Pals feature has never worked. Every time I try it it tells me there are no pals and to come back at a later time no matter the time of day I check it2) uploading photos to your profile is really glitchy. There’s no option to remove photos, you can only select existing ones and try to replace them, and when you go back to the edit profile page old photos still show up randomly.3) there’s no filter for location on the events page. This one feels like a no brainer since I only want to find events where I live.4) there’s no way to tell the app you made it to an event unless you upload a photo.
