It’s very strange that you can’t just type in the parents birthday when establishing the account/set up. I abandoned sign up because I’m not going to click back through (literally) 420 times to get to March 1989
Why, this app
(((ELLIOT)))
Enrollment I assumed would involve the same login from the MyUPMC app but instead, it’s a Microsoft form that upon completion requires someone to then send an invite in 2 business days. Signing in via the app redirects to a web browser, where it stays and does not ever actually sign you into the app, which was my experience. This app seems like a half measure, and is convoluted to understand because of its overlap of features with the MyUPMC app. Not sure what happened to justify making an entire new app, but it’s obvious from the clunky sign in process that UPMC is not resourcing this app to be good, but barely good enough.
Requires parents to use two uncoordinated apps
Mike_B_1977
UPMC now requires that my wife and have both this MyUPMC Children’s app and the “regular” MyUPMC app. Neither app communicates with each, and each app offers different features for our children. So parents have to “register” each app separately. This app has the added feature of requiring parents to call UPMC after providing duplicate information for registration. Since both apps provide different and sometimes duplicate information, UPMC requires that parents cross reference two apps to interact with their children’s providers. It’s just plain sloppy and disrespectful.
Symptoms & Meds
CMKuz
The two things I look up about my kids are their symptoms and medicine dosages (Tylenol, Ibuprofen). Both tabs here are great resources that save me from wondering if my source is reliable. It also saves me from going down the rabbit hole of googling every symptom and worrying more than necessary. Great compliment to the medical practice!
