This app has turned bad. Recently I have had Multiple bad experiences to the point I am deleting the app. I like purchasing parking ahead especially in LA because looking for parking is stressful! Three times now they emphasized no refunds even for reasonable issues. I couldn’t use the first parking and they refused to refund me even though the parking date was weeks away. Then I used it for an event recently, the parking attendant said they don’t take the app that day and when I messaged ParkWhiz to refund me they never responded to multiple emails. Poor customer service, wants the money and no refunds even if you didn’t use their service! Third time I arrived and the parking attendant said they were full and to take it up with the app even though I prepaid. Parkwhiz said they would refund me, got an email saying I was refunded, 2 weeks later, checked my bank and it wasn’t refunded so check your bank. I disputed it and they responded right away saying once the parking time starts it too late to dispute so my bank sided with them. Lost $30+ each time, will be reporting to the BBB especially with fake refunds and promises! They also hide bad reviews!

look the app is decent, it does its job. BUT the problem is the process of buying the parking. lets say i want to go to a concert of the 20th of October, and there are shows on the 3rd, 5th, 13, and multiple other shows that lead up to the show on the 20th. i can’t scroll down from the search menu to find that specific show, and pressing the “return” button dosent do anything either, pressing it over like 5 times makes you search something up you didn’t search up and then nothing pops up. next, if im finally able to click the date i want parking for then i can look around to see how far the parking is from the venue, which is helpful, but if i wanted to see what the parking structure looks like i can’t do that because it won’t allow me to tap on the picture even though i know there’s more than one picture because their website shows pictures of the parking structure. if i also press on the “Show facility details” button, i get details and what they get for reviews, sometimes the reviews are pretty low, and if im going to park there i need to know why the reviews are so low, but of course, i can’t click the reviews button.those are the things that this app needs to work on, and it’s pretty frustrating that this app has over 4 stars if it can’t do what an over 4 star app should be able to do.

First and last time I use Parkwiz

Tried to buy a parking pass for a Whitesox game (Parkwiz was suggested as the only provider by the White Sox ticketing website for parking in the stadium lot), first on the website using Apple-pay and got an error. Then tried using a credit card with the same result. Downloaded the app and again tried to purchase a pass, getting the same error to recheck my credit card info after trying two different cards. Used both my phone and a laptop. No go. Emailed the “help” account and received the same boilerplate advice to check the info I entered. I emailed asking for further help as I did all of their suggestions. No additional response or help provided nor an explanation as to what is actually wrong or how to fix it. I guess I’ll go back to SpotHero where my credit cards work. Totally disappointed in Parkwiz. Edit: a few days later I received an email asking for more information. I appreciate the reach out, but I’m not sure what the fix would be in my case as the day I needed parking came and went. (BTW my solution was to go early and pay $10 to park in the game day lot, which was cheaper than Parkwiz as there was no service fee). I get they have associates whose job it is to “fix” problems, but the timely nature of my problem, and their business, requires they have a working system, and/or be nimble enough to find timely solutions that work for customers when customers need immediate solutions.

Overpaid and terrible customer service

Paid a $28 ParkWhiz and arrived 30 minutes early to the lot. The ParkWhiz was from 6:30-2am the next day. I wasn’t told that there was going to be any issues from the attendant when I gave him my pass. Came back at 10:30pm to be charged $54 dollars by the Lot, saying that we had to pay the balance. Looked up at the sign and up to 12 hours at the lot was $34 dollars. So got charged an extra $20 to use a parkwhiz. I said this can’t be right and I got on the phone with parkwhiz customer service and the woman was rude saying it was our fault for coming in early and that we’d have to pay the difference, even though it’s $20 more than if we hadn’t used a ParkWhiz. The lot was holding our car until we paid and parkwhiz was no help and worse, super super rude, so I had to pay the extra $26 to get my car home. I’ve used parkwhiz a bunch of times before but to get on the phone with them late at night and to be met with a rep that’s treating you like it’s your fault and they can’t do anything to help you makes me feel like I’d rather just take my chances with the lot than deal with someone that’s going to berate you. The whole thing felt really deceitful and scammy - especially since the price difference from what it cost to what the lots regular price was is really an issue that should be figured out between the company and parkwhiz and not paid for by the customer. It’s a rip off. The email follow up with Parkwhiz has been just as frustrating. It’s like I was ghosted by their customer service team. Overall horrible experience.
