Doesn’t accept TSA Precheck number

When entering traveller details for an existing booking, there is a Known Traveler Number field. The app will only accept a 9 digit value. However, USA TSA Precheck numbers are a combination of letters and numbers. Always have to use the airport checkin desk to get them to enter it for me, which is a pain.

HiSorry for the delay in response. This will be fixed in the next App release, so please have a look in the next update. You should be able have alphanumeric entries upto 10 character long in line with the TSA defined format. Cannot create account

You currently cannot create an account on the app. It appears to be a poor wrapper around a website. The bottom half of the screen seems to be blocked by some invisible view or the touch area of the website they’re showing is only on the top half the screen. When creating an account I could get around this because everything was scrollable, but on the final confirm details page, it is not scrollable so the Confirm Details button is not selectable. I thought I was being clever and turned on VoiceOver to scroll selection down to the button to double tap but alas that didn’t work. I might create an account on their actual website and come back to see if the rest of the app is usable or I could be passive-aggressive and petty and just give up to spite Qantas. 😊

We’ve raised an incident internally, as this seems to be a recent issue affecting a small subset of users. While we investigate, you can sign up via our website at https://www.qantas.com/au/en/frequent-flyer/discover-and-join/join.html and then log into the app. Thanks again for flagging this.

Lately, I am unable to use the app on my iPhone 15 (app version 4.33.1 running on iOS 26). A message comes up advising that a secure connection cannot be established, because the site does not support https. If I, nevertheless, select “continue,” another message pops up informing me that the connection to the server has been lost (?)—even if it was never really established.I have not experienced any problems before now , and the app works fine on my iPad. Any ideas? Possible fixes?If I delete the app and reinstall it, the issue persists. Would it be possible for Apple to wipe the app completely from my account, so that I could reinstall a workable copy?

Now most Airline Apps are not buttery smooth or even ideal/stable but this App is the worst, the app seems to be structured like a layered Browser, and also seems to be semi-permable and when I was trying to read the terms, the tap function seems to have ended up making a booking without my knowledge forcing me to have to dispute the charges with my card company. In addition, the desktop functionality freezes even in high performance smartphones, I definitely suggest avoid using this app and use Safari or another browser alternatively until they can have a more functioning app like competition globally.
