It’s a great app so far. I like the layout and I like the program. I feel like it keeps me accountable and that’s what I need. The program is for 1 year and it is a diabetes prevention program. The program does NOT give you a strict diet to follow, instead, it allows you to make meal choices that are healthier and it focuses on activity goals. The goal is 7500 steps a day to start. It may increase as you progress in the program, I don’t know yet as it’s only just the end of my first week. You are sent a scale to weigh in every morning and your weight is sent to the app and your coach. If that is something you have a problem with, you and your coach can figure out another plan on how often to check weight. You track your meals as well. It’s set up in groups so there are maybe 20 ppl on my group give or take. We are able to chat and lean on each other which helps a lot! They don’t see your weight they just see progress if they go to your profile. The folks in my group are very open and we talk a lot about our highs and lows. There is no judgement. It really feels like a safe space. So right now, I am very happy with it, I haven’t moved this much in I don’t know how long, I can already see an improvement! I am enjoying the walking. When the weather changes, that’ll be the test for me. Right now, it’s Spring, so walking is easy! I should also mention that this program is free to me through my job, so I don’t know the cost. So check with your job/insurance provider to see. You may qualify just by being pre diabetic. I know that is what qualifies me. I would look into it, and give it a try! I’ll update at 6 months and hopefully I can add a 4th star!
Omada Simply Works…!!!

I don’t leave a lot of reviews for many things, but need to for Omada…! As my title stated… Omada Simply Works…! I have been on the program for over a year, I am 49 years old and have lost 65+ lbs to date. I found Omada through work and joined and my life has changed completely. My success has also tuned other co-workers onto Omada as well. I have eaten healthier meals and more fruits and vegetables with Omada than I probably have my entire life. The lessons are invaluable and the greatest thing with Omada, is your coach. Mine has been a Godsend and she has guided me from day #1. I have had weeks where I lost a few pounds and weeks where I gained. Weeks where I lost nothing. But consistency is what it teaches and it also teaches that while not every meal may be perfect, it’s the mindset that it puts you in that brings you success. When I started I was around 315 and am now in the 240’s with more to go. I have tried other weight loss programs and nothing worked for me. Omada has and I will praise it as I feel finding Omada saved my life. I was feeling so low physically and mentally that I didn’t think I would live to see 50. Omada changed that. God Bless you for an amazing program.
Best longterm solution for living healthier

This app and the Omada program have taught me so much, stuff doctors and the internet can’t teach. After going through the program I can assure you I feel more confident about making healthier choices. The information provided and the support from the coach is impeccable. They are here to help and they do. The group can either be supportive or not. If you do this go all in, the program doesn't aim to fix you immediately or make extremely drastic changes asap. They go in stages. They do it because it works. Focus on something one week, build it into your routine and keep building. I feel significantly healthier and I see results. My group wasn’t the most dedicated, but I got what I needed and I have a way to go. The program changed my life and helped me get out of a rut and actually see results. Will you fail some point yes, I did. You stick with it you will see results. Tracking is key, I understand why, its basic science experiment. Establish a baseline, keep that baseline and understand the changes based on your tracking. Figure out what your doing that caused the change and you will. Tracking is everything.
Like the program, app needs improvement

I like the weight loss approach of the Omada program. Coach, accountability to weigh and track food, online lessons, etc. I am really disappointed in the app. It is not up to par with other weight loss /fitness apps and is not the most user friendly. I spend a lot of time and effort trying to figure out how to do stuff. For example, tracking food for a previous day. After unsuccessfully trying to select a previous day on the tracker, I go to the support pages which seem to be outdated. The information and screens do not match my app. Logging food is cumbersome and once you enter a meal, it seems you can’t go back and edit it. Frustrating experience. There are many good food trackers out there, such as Lose It, that are much more user friendly and easy to use. Another shortcoming is the activity tracker. Everything has to be added as steps. I was directed to a conversion webpage by the program that gave me “file not found”, so I searched online to find one. All of the conversion pages I found lacked activities I do. Most activity trackers today, such as Lose It, will allow you to search a comprehensive list of activities, enter the time, and convert it and adjust the daily calorie intake accordingly. The Omada program has the right idea, but I think it would be better if they aligned themselves with another company to incorporate their app into the Omada program. For now, I think I will use the Lose It app for all my tracking, and the Omada app for lessons and communication with my team and coach.
Bug fixes and improvements.
