Been using feed readers to keep up with current events as it is necessary with my line of work for years now (both paid and free). There was always something missing—ranging from minor annoyances to a decision to move to another app altogether. I eventually settled to using multiple apps and going through them daily in order to catch up. Not anymore. Inoreader is by far the best and most organized reader I have used (and I have lost count as to how many different feed apps/websites I have gone through in an attempt to satisfy all the content I keep up with). Finally, I no longer have to settle. This app has it all. Inoreader gives you complete control and freedom with the sources you follow. You can organize every single source with labels, tags and rules. It even has a built in feature that checks non-rss pages for updates giving the user the ability to essentially follow any web page regardless of whether or not it has a legitimate feed. If you’re one of the developers and you’re reading this, I would like to thank you. You've saved me so much time and effort. For anyone who is like me and wants all their content organized in one place, it doesn’t get better than inoreader. The pro version is absolutely worth it and even if you’re skeptical, they give you a trial without the need to verify your email or provide payment information. My most recent app used was feedly and Inoreader blows it away. See for yourself, I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Edited: Latest update is great.

Latest update addressed all my issues except for one interface change that I'm now comfortably used to. Great app, better than anything else i have seen.Old:I want to praise inoreader for making a great app but find the new version frustrating. I really liked the prior version where the main screen had the list of subscriptions with unread count on right. The new main screen seems only to show All Articles or the articles for the subscription you select by hitting the top left menu button first. Text only headlines seem to only work in All Articles view and can't be done in a single feed. Changing settings takes more work now, cannot do this from within a subscription screen. Marking Show Only Updated not only removes read articles from view in a subscription screen, but also removes subscriptions with no unread articles from the subscription list, and i see no option to adjust these separately.
The Best Service, App Is Catching Up
Fixxeren
I want to start by thanking the developers for listening to user feedback. The latest update addresses an issue I’ve been reporting for 6 months or more and that issue was split view. It’s been broken forever but with this fix it makes the app viable on the iPad for folks that use split view with Stage Manager coming this update was critical. I am also happy with the card view improvements, so good that the images align with the iPad size. Other fixes and improvements over time have slowly made this app my go to. I still think render times for posts need to be improved because image heavy posts can take some time to load. Beyond that this is still the ultimate RSS reader and service. The fact that Inoreader retains every article you have ever had go into the system is amazing for research. Just today I went back to recover an article I remembered from 2019. I am very thankful for this app and I hope improvements continue to come. It would be great if the dashboard view and sepia tone could be bought over form the web to the app.
The new “add feed” screen makes no sense
Acase1094
I can’t seem to find anywhere to add a new feed via url, and lots of the feeds in the old categories are no longer there. I’m not really sure how this new update is supposed to make the app better.Update: the developer response definitely clarified the process for adding a new feed via url. However, I still think the process is a massive step down from how it used to work. It seems really unintuitive to have to paste the url into a search bar where there’s no indication to the user that it can do anything other than search through Inoreader’s curated list of feeds. The old way of having a dedicated “add by url” button with a clearly labeled text field that specifically asked for rss urls was much more usable. The new design LOOKS nice, but if it hides one of the few main features that an RSS reader needs then it’s a bad design for an RSS reader.
Developer Response
Hello,With the new discovery section you just paste your URL in the search box and Inoreader should find your feed. There's no more need for a dedicated screen just for that. Just be sure to paste a full URL including the schema (https://...).
- Fixed an issue where Spotlights did not correctly highlight CJK characters in article titles within article lists
- Updated all UI translations - many thanks to our translators for their valuable contributions
