I’m very happy with the app, works well but my issues are the following:
1. App freezes on certain ads
2: Not all episodes are available at the same time (IE cant binge episodes of a few different series I used to enjoy)
But honestly, I can’t complain.
Its only started freezing today never had the issue before then and it’s the way you choose to run the app when it comes to what episodes are available. For someone who doesn’t really feel like spending the money on buying them from iTunes or the company, I’m happy to have free content which will have episodes for me to watch whenever I like/want too.
Disappointing app, functionality not even remotely decent
I have only used this app to watch one season of a show so far, but I cannot keep up with what’s going on in the show - the app completely skipped an episode on me, I know it wasn’t error on my behalf because I was watching episodes back to back, I had to then go back and find what I had missed, even then, I miss the last tiny bit of EVERY episode, as the app auto plays the next episode and cuts the current episode off mid sentence. This app should be convenient, but I think it’s an easier option to sit down and watch the program on TV. It is highly frustrating, I would love to give this app a higher rating but until this is fixed I don’t think I will be watching any other shows. My friend also complains that her app does not keep a track of which episode she is up to or where in said episode, which I can imagine must be very annoying. The audio cuts out at random points, or the ads will freeze, I then have to close the app and reopen it, and then have to sit through yet another round of ads. I can look past having to watch the same 3 ads on repeat every ten minutes, but not this. Please start actually listening to the users of this app, I’ve seen bad review upon bad review and nothing is being done, I hate leaving low reviews on anything but in complete honestly this app is terrible, the functionality is not up to standard for an app equivalent of a nation wide TV channel, incredibly disappointing.

We would really like to investigate what caused the skipping issue and we can manually make changes when the autoplay starts if you tell us which show it was you are watching when this happened. For us to do either of the above you need to please get in touch with our support team at https://support.7plus.com.au/contact/. Regarding your friends issue - she needs to be signed into the app for it to keep track on which episode she is up to or where in the episode. If she is signed into the app and is still experiencing this issue please tell her to reach out to our support team as well. Apologies for any inconvenience!
Lots of small bugs
Audio cuts out half way through shows then as it doesn’t remember where you are (and let you resume show like the 9Now app) you have to remember where you are then sit though 5+ extra minutes of ads before you even can watch the show again. Like a lot have stated, there are too many ads and you aren’t doing the companies any favours by playing the same ones over and over- it’s actually a deterrent. Order of episodes should be newest to old not oldest to new (episode 1 is at the top and it should be at the bottom so you have quicker and easier access to the latest ep. It also would align with all other tv station apps. Ad volumes are also a LOT louder than the shows themselves. A ‘last night’ tab would be great to easily find what was on the night prior instead of having to search for them. This is also something the 9Now app does that is very handy. I suggest you look at the 9 and 10 apps, as well as Stan and Netflix to see what they do well and replicate. It’s not that hard!

We are working on the apps ability to remember where you left off and hope to release this feature to you soon. With regards to the ad volume we have adjusted this for all our 'newer' content however, it will still take us a while to adjust it for our 'older' content. We currently have a 'Latest Episodes' shelf on the landing screen which is similar to a 'Last night' tab but I did also forward this suggestion internally. We can't improve unless 7plus users tell us what they would like to see, so thank you!
