Not so practical as a Baby monitor

Camera was easy to set up. But would love the app to have a alert when motion detection is activated, even if app is not currently closed. Also would love the ability to have the app activated or notification sent to the phone (when app not open) when sound is detected. This would make the camera and app more user friendly as a baby monitor

Slow to navigate, recordings miss seconds of key footage frequently

The app is super slow to navigate, and slow to pan/tilt. By the time it recognises your button press, the camera finally wakes up and swings too far in the direction you were pressing. The camera settings don’t allow you to define the camera’s network settings such as IP/DNS. Recordings often seem to drop multiple seconds at a time frequently missing the ‘event’. Swann say to reformat the card when this happens (I’m not happy to just keep reformatting the Samsung endurance card). On a plus all the features you would expect are there and well thought/laid out. It just seems the execution is off with this app and product. Please improve the software overall!

Easy enough to set up and use with camera. I had no issues with 3G/4G. However it regularly, sometimes daily, loses connection to camera. I get the message “connection failed” no matter how many times I try. If I reboot the camera or router it returns to connecting ... for a while.
Update - I finally found a solution for my connection problem (by myself). I have the camera a fixed IP address on my network and reserved it for the camera alone. Since I have done that I have not received a “connection failed” message. I am not an expert but this implies to me the camera has weak protocols for maintaining connection to the house router. It can’t be signal strength as my camera is a meter away from the router.
