Update is a big improvement

I use this app mostly on colder mornings to warm up my RAV4 remotely. Suddenly it looks different! Works great for that but always found the design could be a bit more intuitive and sharper. Looks like they have fixed that so for me, this app is a winner. I haven’t had a lot of the issues people have shared here so maybe it’s a device thing.

It took 50mins and 20 attempts to login

The Toyota connect app is a slow, sluggish and not well implemented. After the update late October 2025, it took me over 50mins and 20 attempts to login, the stupid app would show the spinning thinking symbol for up to 2 mins before going to the next step. It wouldn’t accept my password or my email login details, I know they are right and on the 20th try it finally worked! Every poor implementation. And the fresh new look is meh! I like the previous version better. 50 mins of my life I’m never going to get back.

The Toyota connect app is a slow, sluggish and not well implemented. After the update late October 2025, it took me over 50mins and 20 attempts to login, the stupid app would show the spinning thinking symbol for up to 2 mins before going to the next step. It wouldn’t accept my password or my email login details, I know they are right and on the 20th try it finally worked! Every poor implementation. And the fresh new look is meh! I like the previous version better. 50 mins of my life I’m never going to get back.

Very useful app but some features like tyre pressure and to pair with garage door remote has to be there, reason I bought rav4 bcos I love Toyota as I had 2 Camry before this one and still owns a Corolla hybrid for my son.I would appreciate if this app is free like Hyundai is offering.But I still like my Toyota.

This app is almost useless. The feature to start, lock and do anything remotely always ‘fails’ and therefore is pointless. The fact that we can barely navigate this app to find even the most features is beyond me. I’ve heard great things about the ‘old version’ - it’s unfortunate that we purchased our car when the new version of the app came out. The Ford app is much more user friendly and worth it. Additionally I can’t believe I’ll have to pay $10 a month to keep such a useless app when Ford’s useful version is free for the lifetime of the app.
