1) I’m severely crippled spending all night and all day trapped in bed so I can’t physically get out and about even in my own home so with the advent of these smart robot vacuum cleaners also being controlled by voice through Alexa makes this clever little RoboVac all in one with mopping feature too, now having a hygienic home without the CONSTANT WORRYING About dust mites and other pests !!

2) made allowances for this vacuum to slip under things like shelving and storage shelves without needing to check up on it unless it snags a cable lol !
For this, I’m buying some cable-trunking to keep everything looking flush with the white walls & light colour scheme already in place where I’ve only just moved into !

It’s not at all, loud, to be a disturbance like some other well known devices out there would seriously irritate one’s calm nature & surroundings to reinforce the meaning of being QUIET, Calming when using robovac & mop feat of brilliance, electronic smart device that it will continue very carefully along its route.

3) had it on the highest suction power for a much needed deeper clean of really soiled-carpetand so without fryher guilding the lily, lol, thank the creators for a time saver all in one perfected design!

Update: A recent update to the app or X8 has caused it to get stuck in a loop cleaning the same space backwards and forwards. Pausing and unpausing the robot fixes it so it’s clearly a firmware issue, which is really annoying because it is another reason not to update things.

Update 2:
Now I also find myself having to force-quit and relaunch the app because it gets stuck on “positioning robot” even when the robot is on charge. This was not an issue until recently so yet another thing that has been broken by shoddy updates.

Old review: I’m very impressed with the app and the Robovac but there are a couple of issues, one of which I can’t believe is a missing feature. The main issue is the lack of reminders to empty the bin. It would be amazing if it could remind you after a certain amount of cleaning time since there’s no “bin full” sensor on the robot itself. Because of this we forget and it gets clogged. Another small issue is that it sometimes seems to randomly forget the no go lines and zones, but then will fix itself a few days later. Aside from that it’s all very robust; it has never failed to get back to its charger, the app is easy to use and it very rarely can’t start a clean properly. Please consider adding bin reminders to make it the perfect robot.

What an amazing little machine. I had often thought about getting one but wasn’t completely sure - spoke to a colleague who has one and decided to give it a try.
It is fascinating to watch the little fella trundling around clearing up, he copes well with bird seed and feathers! He is also very quiet which is a bonus.
Easy to set up, and once I found the password for the router, quick to connect to my phone and Alexa.
