Everything in my Revolut Business experience was terrible. Difficult and bureaucratic to set up an account. I could not open it with an email, I could not open it with my Google account, I had to do it through an Apple account, which meant I could not really access the account without my phone - have it stolen and you’re out of control of no matter how much money you have. I never felt my money was safe. Then once the account was opened the system kept requesting loads of information, invoices, photos, about each step I took, many times requesting duplicate info. You have to guess which boxes you need to check to satisfy the robot. Some Anti-Money Laundering ghost spell seems to loom over the whole thing. Fees, of course, were always duly charged. I had my account blocked, and it was a nightmare to unblock it, and then again, and then some. After a few months I decided the trouble to keep the account running was higher than changing all the contracts where I had signed off with that account, and decided to close it. Yet, about a year later, I’m not free yet as I cannot get Customer Support to do something as simple as email me my bank statements (needed for tax purposes) after a month of failed attempts at logging as a forgotten email. As I logged in using Apple, the system does not use my own email, even if that was properly set at the onset as my email, but a bespoke hidden Apple email, to which I never had direct access, which doesn’t forward me anything, and seems not to exist anymore - but Revoloop’s CS keeps telling me to follow a 8 or sometimes 11 steps verification, with biometrics and passport, after which a non-existent chat function is supposed to appear authorising access to a human operator. It’s just a nightmare from start all through end, and beyond. I wish someone had told me to stay away.
