Missed opportunity

The app stores customers digital membership card which you need to show in the wear house for entry and purchase. The problem is that it needs connectivity to show the membership. Our Costco store doesn't have mobile coverage by the tills. There are long queues at the tills made even longer by not being able to show your membership store without walking back to the exit where there is mobile single and running back to the till so they can scan your card.Why not allow the card to be displayed in the app without needing a connection, or give us the option to save the card to the apple wallet, or provide guest wifi access for customers. It's a painful experience currently. Hopefully the feedback can be listened to and is useful.

Please add a digital membership card

The app has improved compared to the old one but it is missing a vital feature……….a digital membership card that can be used to enter the store and scan at the till, and have digital receipts added to your account. Please, please include this feature along with the ability to add to Apple Wallet as opposed to having to open up the Costco App when entering the store. Would be 4/5 star if this feature was added.

The app loads nice and fast, and navigation is fairly easy once you get the hang of it. But it feels very disconnected from the physical stores. For example, the product range is very limited compared to in-store.Mine keeps recommending I upgrade my membership to the same membership I already have, so that’s weird. (Using latest iOS, valid membership and auto-renew is active)Overall a good and working app, but it could be made a lot more useful by adding a wider product range, a digital membership card and an in-store order history.

They finally switched to allowing you to use a digital membership card just on the app! Gone are the days of showing up at the membership counter to ask for a little piece of paper with your number on it! However they’ve not yet fully implemented it properly, as there’s no support for adding the card to Apple Wallet, and the card does not work on the fuel stations either, so keep that in mind if you’re looking to use it!

They finally switched to allowing you to use a digital membership card just on the app!
