Control your hearing aids discreetly with the touch of a finger
This app lets you control your hearing aids from your mobile device. It comes with an app for Apple Watch helping you discreetly change programs and adjust volume (when within Bluetooth range).

First use:
You need to pair your hearing aids with this app to use it to control your hearing aids.
App availability:
The app is compatible with most hearing aid models. If you have hearing aids from 2016-2018 and haven't updated them yet, a hearing aid update is required for this app to work. We recommend regular hearing aid updates during your routine check-up with your hearing care professional.
For optimal performance, we recommend updating your device to iOS 18 or later.

Recently my hearing aid stopped working. I used the support option in the app and received an immediate response which was very helpful in resolving the issue. Generally, I find the app useful and I find it more convenient to change the programme than using the button on the hearing aid. The only minor issue is the battery levels could be more accurate - when I remove the aid at bedtime I open the drawer and after I close the drawer in the morning the battery level display is inflated. For example, in the morning the battery level was showing 40% but by mid morning it had dropped rapidly to 10% & soon afterwards 0% and as I was outdoors on the golf course I was unable to replace the battery until I finished my round.

This application works very well with my iPad Pro, but to use it properly you need to check that your mobile device is ASHA compatible this is a technology which uses LE Bluetooth a low latency protocol that your aids communicate with your device. Recommend to check that your device uses ASAH, if not, you may need an additional device that sits between your aids and your mobile phone / iPad / Mac. The application is very useful but lacks a way of testing if the aids connected are operating correctly, a simple sound test is needed where by each aid has a sound of different frequencies to ensure that your devices need to be cleaned or a fault has developed. The initial start up sound is to quick and the only other way is playing music in stereo through the device, a simple test to ensure each aid is connected and sound can be heard in a mono stereo sequence would be very useful, this with a led indication on the device would determine if the aid may need a clean or replacement wax protection.

The Oticon App has been both useful and invaluable. One one occasion I lost one hearing aid. I only missed it once home but suspected I’d lost it at my allotment across town. I returned after dark, at midnight, and was able find it in minutes in the grass using the App’s location facility.I am also impressed with the help team when I had a problem with one hearing aid refusing to link to the App after a battery change. Despite my doing everything the App recommended. The response was instant, helpful and personable. Quite a refreshing change from the usual response one often experiences from a retailer or manufacturer in the event of a problem.

New iPhone and re-pairing

This first is an old review. Scroll down for a new review February 2026I used the Oticon ON App and loved it. Since I had to change to the Oticon Companion I am not using it at all as it is so slow and continually asks me to open the backs of the hearing aids to re-connect. If I kept doing this as the App asked I would have broken the hinges of the battery compartment by now ! This App is getting such poor ratings that this company really needs to take notice. What was the point of the upgrade to the App if nobody likes it. Please bring back the original App. Why is Oticon not reading / listening to all these negative comments and doing something about it. This new App is a very retrograde step and is no use to me as a hearing aid user.February 2026Since the above review was published, the App has been repeatedly improved and is now working well.I contacted Oticon after I purchased a new iPhone and couldn’t get the new iPhone paired with the hearing aids.I had a reply from the technician who sent instructions for paring, which worked first time. Happy again !!!
