With the Isle of Man Bank Mobile Banking app managing your money on the move is easy, fast and secure.

WHAT YOU NEED TO REGISTER

• You’ll need to be registered for Online Banking
• Your Isle of Man, UK or international mobile number
• Your Customer Number which is your date of birth followed by four random digits
• Your Online Banking PIN & password which is what you use to log in online
• When logging in for the first time you’ll be asked to choose a mobile banking passcode, which is what you’ll use in the future

Supported international mobile numbers: Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Barbados, Belgium, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Canada, Cayman Islands, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UAE or United States.

• Login using Touch ID or Face ID – there’s no need to remember your passcode when logging in. Available on a compatible iPhone or iPad

• Personalise your app – customise how your app greets you, hide your balance, reorder your accounts, manage your alerts or share your account details

• Get Cash – visit a cash machine and withdraw up to £130 without your debit card – perfect if you’ve forgotten your wallet

• Pay someone new without a card reader – all you need is their sort code and account number and you can send up to £1000. Register for biometric approval and take a selfie to authorise payments above £1,000.

• Pay your contacts using their mobile number

OTHER THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

Get Cash allows you to withdraw up to £130 every 24 hours at any Isle of Man Bank, NatWest International, NatWest, Ulster Bank or Tesco ATM, as long as it’s within your daily withdrawal limit. You must have at least £10 available in your account.

Paying your contacts allows a maximum of 20 payments totalling £250 per day. Pay anyone with a UK current account who is registered for the Paym service. You must be aged 16 or over.

What’s wrong with my face?!

The app takes numerous attempts to recognise my face and occasionally locks me out of the app after too many attempts. I then have to go through all the sign in procedures and re-enter all payment details to try again. The app was so much better before the facial recognition step and there absolutely should be a way to override and do differently.

Flagged Transactions

every time I want to make it larger than usual payment, or transfer funds to another bank account or investment, my transactions get flagged by the fraud team. This then means I have to spend between half an hour and an hour attempting to access my own money. For this reason, I will be closing my accounts in the coming weeks, as it’s been happening far too regularly. The £87k that's there, will slowly be moving to Santander, Aldermore and Investec... no doubt this will take hours of my time, because every transaction or transfer will have to go through the fraud team. It’s ridiculous.

Dated and unnecessary restrictive

If it were five years ago, this app would have had a 5 star review. Unfortunately times have moved on and the limited functionality leaves it streets behind the likes of Barclays (who don’t feel the need to refer you to online banking - which is even WORSE and more dated - for all but the most minor and basic of transactions). Needs improving and soon.
