Just select Apple Pay or PayPal in the app, to pay for your fuel there and then at the pump, without queuing up in store. Select how much you want to spend and confirm the pump number. New App

The old app was working great. Now that I have upgraded to the new app, there are nothing but technical problems. Clicking on the digital card and it flashes it up for a second then crashes out saying there is a technical problem. Clicking on the transaction history, and it’s the same message. I only had 2 visits on the history of visits, but it’s not the point. I would have thought that the new app would have been rigorously tested to make sure that all the data from the old app would transfer across to the new app successfully before releasing the new app. I hope this gets sorted otherwise I shall be deleting the app for good, which I don’t really want to do.

Hello, apologies for your experience yesterday, we had some technical issues which caused this and these are now resolved. Your account, visits and history should all be available in the new app. If this is not the case please do email me at shellappuk@shell.com.

Changes ok but rewards are underwhelming

So many new apps and programmes. I have lost out on rewards several times because one or other garage did not have the new systems, or the old system. Then when I had both sets of rewards they only applied one and I lost another £3. Now I’ve had to download another new app on the promise of £1.50 voucher, which then is non existent in the app itself. Plus, once you go all the way to ten visits which have actually been logged ( on top of those which weren’t) the size of the reward is pretty desultory. Overall not very impressed with all this from Shell. For an expensive premium brand, your offers are small beer and not enough to keep me engaged as a customer for long.
I have to admit your salt water cars are pretty good, but the prices to pay were not cheap. Would have been much better if we could get the cars/ tracks as a reward. Again your offer is just not quite enough to make it seem a good deal and keep me onside. Come on Shell. A bit less greedy (and more reliable app and programme) and you will get many loyal customers. At the moment I think you will lose me and many others as soon as we find BP or another brand doing it better.

Hi.
We are so sorry about this. Our system is failing to recognise new app users when they are automatically signed in during the download stage. We have found a short term fix to be signing out of the app and then logging back so that the system recognises you are using the new app. We are looking into how we can avoid asking customers to do this, but for the time being do you mind giving this a go? Please be aware that after signing back in your account will take a couple of hours to update and for the reward to appear. Please let me know if this doesn't work. New app is poor

The previous took ages to get right. As soon as they did, they launch this new one and force us to start using it. As with other reviews I was also promised £1.50 for switching to the new app, but no sign of it anywhere. Now it’s not updating my visits, so will my 10th visit reward ever come through??? Also I was glad to see Pay at Pump being brought back, but when I went to use it this morning it said there was an error and it wouldn't let me. Why are you guys releasing this app into the wild when it’s so full of bugs??? Beggars belief. Starting to get really fed up of all these issues with the Shell apps over the last few years.
EDIT: Received an email from the developer advising that if I log out and log and log back in, my rewards and whatnot would appear. This seems to have cured it. Haven’t had a chance to test Pay at Pump yet but hopeful that’ll now be sorted. Don’t change anything else!! Leave it as it is!! 😀
