But the move to a cashless world has caught everyone off-guard. Options for youth accounts are limited, and the market’s approach is out of date, and out of touch. So we’re fixing it. Great App, and more importantly a GREAT TEAM.

A nice easy set up towards teaching our children the importance of Budget and Spending accountability. Easy top ups and money allocation in Family View, a good and easy dashboard to read so I can see at a glance all of my kids balances. And a friendly and supportive team that responds quickly to any issues and keeps you updated on the progress of fixing them. I must note that all purchases need to be made using credit, so it also gives my children the responsibility to plan their spending as not a lot of stores accept credit instore BUT online purchases and the like go through with minimal fuss. I say again FANTASTIC team to deal with, don’t wait download now Whanau💪🏽🙏🏽👍🏾As an extra part our Home has 7 children in it (a blended home) the Square one team have been a huge help sorting out seperate accounts for both homes to give both parenting parties the ability to work together to provide our children with a fantastic financial platform.Which has never been possible anywhere else but at SquareOne - Well done Guys🙌🏽🙌🏽

Financial literacy for the whānau

Our whānau have been using this app for over a year and love it as a tool for teaching financial literacy. It’s like a bank account and internet banking for kids but with more management from parents - I set a chore list they can work through to earn cash and they can set savings goals. They can even receive money to their account from outside sources which is great as my daughter referees for the local touch association and gets her “wages” at the end of each season paid directly to her square one account. Then she can move the majority to her savings pocket (as she is saving for a smart tv) and leave some to spend on her card. Having a card with a limit means I can send my 12 year old to sports tournaments or to school knowing she has access to cash if she needs it without worry about her carrying money. They can use it for online purchases too, beware the discovery of Ubereats! But honestly, overall this has given our daughter such independence and we get a kick out of seeing our kids financially confident!

Amazing App with fantastic support service

The cards are fantastic and can be utilised as tap and go debit cards in store and also for online purchases in a safe, controlled, manner. I get instant alerts anytime money goes in or out of the children’s accounts allowing me to keep tabs on their spending. In addition to this the support crew behind the app are easy to get in touch with to iron out any issues. They back their application and users to the hilt with friendly, free, and helpful support from actual people not bots. Very happy with this ingenious approach to teaching children healthy financial habits.

App is amazing until it stops working properly - frozen on paying kids . Kids were excited about getting jobs done and seeing it digitally until they are not paid because the app won’t work .and their card is frozen saying it’s not connected . Even as a parent asking for the follow up and getting the same answer . I joined because of the feed back and had been running for a bit , so looked seamless . We have only been using it for under a week properly when we received the cool cards . Help support started on Saturday - then after a couple of messages you have to wait till Monday now it Tuesday and the only response is we are waiting for the tech team . Finally fixed - all it was card name connected to the parent account was invalid use so they had locked the account and unfortunately no communication about it till later . App up and running so hopefully no more issues , I fully support this app the kids love the interaction with it .

SquareOne just got a serious glow-up. The app's had a full redesign - faster, fresher, and way easier to use. It's still the same SquareOne you know and love, just looking a whole lot better.
